***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

How do you think our seasons will go with UCLA, USC, OR, and WA coming in? More seasons like this are a guaranteed. We benefited from a really weak West - we are bringing in 4 programs with 3 of the 4 on the level of a PSU+ and UCLA probably good enough to win the old West division. We know...

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

If Tracy Claey's was not good enough to continue coaching here, how can you defend this? We aren't even close to being a top 25 team in year 7 - forget competing with Michigan. Time to thank Fleck for the few great years and send him packing.

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

We are in year 7 - and no objective person can claim this team or the near future is any better than Tracy Claey's last year here. Sorry, its true.

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

This may be the earliest I have turned off a Gopher game in awhile if this keeps up. I have zero faith in our offense being able to score at all - so the 7 point deficit may be game over already.

***OFFICIAL LOUISIANA AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

They just gave up a crazy 70 yard TD catch.

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

The sky is not falling, we are just injuring our heads by continuously bumping into PJ's ceiling.

National Champion from SEC or The Field (Any other team from any other conference)

They looks great - but I just don't know if Penix stays healthy for the full year. Utah, USC, UW, OR all look strong. Glad we are not grouped into the West Division with them this year or things would get ugly.

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

Oh - and I should add - Claeys was fired for embarrassing the University - refer to my prior caveat. If not for the gang-bang scandal, Claeys would still be coaching here as well.

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

11 wins is an anomaly - and while great, a lot of it is due to a diluted B1G and a favorable schedule. We literally had 4 meaningful games: PSU, AU (which didn't care about the bowl), IA, and WI - and we went 2 and 2, albeit winning the 2 meaningful ones. But, even looking at that team - how...

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

What Fleck did was take advantage of the nature of Minnesotans to accept something slightly better than mediocre without complaining too loudly. That was the main difference between the recruitment of Brewster and Fleck. What Fleck has consistently recruited was a team that would be good...

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

I disagree. Brewster looked lost because it was his first time being a head coach at this level. As a result, he had no list of names he could immediately call up and fill out a coaching staff with experienced people where he had a prior relationship in a similar capacity. What Fleck has is...

How do you cope with Gopher disappointment? I broaden my view to the wider B1G. You?

For me, I also follow USC. So, as long as both programs are not terrible in the same week / year, it is quite easy to not get too down on things. Also, if you watch higher level program, you come into the Gopher game realizing how far away we are from ever competing at that level. Take USC...

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

PJ Fleck is simply Tim Brewster with a better support staff. PJ is all rah-rah to inspire the team and convince recruits to come here (this has not been successful) but when you are 7 years in and the team is rebuilding AGAIN - it loses its luster. PJ was never a play caller or inventive...

On the plus side, UNC fans are the nicest ever

Keep this in mind for the next era of re-alignment when we snag UNC and Stanford. UNC is a fine university that I would love to have in the B1G.

Hickey: 1 thing I learned about every Big Ten team in Week 3 (Minnesota: Athan Kaliakmanis is definitely a Minnesota QB)

I am usually hard on the Gophers because I want to see success - but ragging on AK is not very fair in my opinion. I said this heading into the year - he is a 'first year QB' - yeah, I know he played last year - but this is his first year as the sole starter and the team is materially worse...

Most cost effective way to watch Gopher Football at home.

I live in Vietnam so a lot of services are geo locked even if I want to pay for it. So, my last resort is usually firstsrows.net - but, if it detects a US address, it probably limits the things you can stream. You also have the BS with pop ups and random freezing so you need to reload and go...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Defeat Eastern Michigan and Improve to 2-0!!

2nd Half defense was some of the best I have ever seen from the Gophers. Amazing. If the O can run like today, we have something pretty good moving forward.

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over Nebraska?

I gave a C because of the pretty lackluster playcalling. The one exception being the run call prior to the game winning kick. I was expecting a 5 yard out route or something and they took a bigger gamble and it paid off. The big question for me after the game - do we have a skill gap at...
