What grade would you give the Gophers 2025 season?

8 wins and an Axe victory is good for a B, just as it was last year. We had 7 exciting home wins where a very young team showed a resilience that this program isn’t particularly known for, and there was good development across the season for Lindsey. Would have been great to win one on the road...

Smith & Smith won the day.

    Typical fleck game

We get Michigan, Penn State and Indiana and dodge Ohio State, Oregon, USC. Based on the turbulent states of Michigan and Penn State and uncertainty around IU’s long term success (though i’m sure they will still be good) it is a golden opportunity where there’s no chalked up preseason loss.

    Typical fleck game

We lucked out with next year’s schedule. If we’re going to have a repeat of 2019 this coming season is going to be the year all things considered

Nestor, Brown, Smith and Baranowski have announced they will be back next year. #Gophers defense shaping up to be scary next year!

I think if nothing else the returning players definitely could be a motivator for Koi to stick around one more year. After that he’s almost certainly NFL bound

What grade would you give the Gophers in the Rate Bowl win?

    B. We won, defense played great and the whole team was resilient against the toughest and best UNM team in decades. Especially given that this was practically a road game for us i am happy

Who is your MVP in the Gophers Rate Bowl win?

Jalen Smith completed 2 difficult catches to convert pivotal scores. We would not have won without him. That said, the other Smith is a close second and was a similar level of pivotal on defense.

How would you rate Drake Lindsey in his first season as starting QB?

Very up-and-down season for him in my opinion, but what do we think?

He'll definitely get a UDFA/minicamp nod, at the very least. Maybe he impresses at the combine and gets picked late.

    Heisman Trophy Poll

In a just world, it would be Jacob Rodriguez from Texas Tech. People have compiled his stats and put them next to Manti Te'o in 2012, and it's just a staggering comparison. Unfortunately though you need to be a QB, RB or WR to win it so he didn't even get an invite. It will be Mendoza, and of...

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

If it's a scandal like recruiting violations or some sort of breaching of NCAA bylaws like that I'd be fine with it. But if it's something that hurts real human beings like physical/sexual assault, hazing, etc I would not.
