As of today our NCAA NET ranking has not changed after last night's loss.

Northwestern will be well rested. They did not to travel out west for their games against UCLA and USC so they last played on January 8th.

Penn State is playing UCLA at UCLA tonight. Northwestern was scheduled to play USC. They canceled. Penn State played both their games. Northwestern canceled both. Weather forecast was the same for both schools.

At the same time Northwestern decided to cancel their trip, Penn State continued with their plan to play at USC. Both Penn State and USC were scheduled to play on the 12th and 15th in the LA area. Penn State played on the 12th and I suspect they'll play on the 15th.

This decision was made long before the return of the Santa Ana winds.

I'm sure they saw two major losses in their future and decided to take the easy way out. Given the complexity of BigTen scheduling these games will probably not be made up.

Per Coach P, Braun had surgery on her 5th metatarsal this morning. She didn't say but average recovery is 6 to 8 weeks from that sort of surgery.

If things don't improve it might be time to hire a couple different assistant coaches. Obanion is the post coach and clearly in over her head and Kelly Curry just lacks the necessary experience to coach at this level.

They've offered so it wouldn't be the Gophers passing on her but the other way around if she goes somewhere else.
