That last first down pass? It wouldn’t have made a difference, that was thrown to the line of scrimmage and it’s a spot foul, so basically it would’ve given an extra down, when they didn’t really have time for extra downs anyway. It’s a good thing the guy didn’t actually catch it as he would’ve...

A kickoff return to the 5 yard line in my opinion, special teams gets full credit for a TD. A muffed punt inside the 30, I give special teams credit for at least 3 points. No question the offense was better than the defense but it required unexpectedly good individual effort by Lindsey and WRs...

Describe the Gophers loss to NW in 1 sentence?

Northwestern tried to apply a handicap to the game by repeatedly kicking it straight to Perich.

35 points notwithstanding, 14 of those were basically from special teams.

    Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

T The first half offensive play calling against Oregon seemed very aggressive to me.

In the Gophers 3 Big Ten loses this season, Minnesota has been out scored 125-19.

That is a head scratcher statement considering all but Nebraska required late 4th quarter come from behind scores. Hence winning those 3 is an improbability that wouldn’t bounce as favorably if you played that schedule 10 times, most likely it’d be a mix of 2-1 or 1-2 in those games. And if they...

Seems like they’ve lost like 4 QBs and 4 RBs this year.

But but it’s because the SEC is TOP TO BOTTOM EL1TE that these losses happen. SEC should be graded on a curve! You’d never see OSU or even Indiana lose by 4 TDs AT HOME against a 3-6 B1G team.

Post Game Thread: Oregon Fumbles TD, Blows Out Gophers

Actually just last week or 2, Northwestern replaced Indiana with the most total losses in the history of the programs.

So why are they playing him both ways when his defensive play has fallen off?

What grade would you give the Gophers in the Oregon blowout?

    C. Aggressive offense gameplan. Moved the ball. 3 scoring drives. Defense really bad. With neutral officiating it’s still a loss but let’s say take 10 points off Oregon.

    Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

Yeah, I didn’t say it was smart or effective. For all the motion and misdirection it is a lot of horizontal behind the LOS stuff. It depends on guys breaking tackles basically.

    Was this a fumble?

Never seen a play exactly like it so I think the league will have to review what “re”gaining possession in the end zone means, but once they ruled he regained possession for one step in the end zone it is a TD, the ball is dead and he can’t “fumble it again.” Begrudgingly on watching the replay...

    Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

I mean, watching the game today, the playbook was about as imaginative as you can ask for, loads of motion, misdirection, screens to take advantage of aggressive edge rush, changing formations, wildcat - seems like Harbaugh went absolutely all out on this gameplan, not trying to just burn clock...

The deal is near finalized for #UCLA football to play its home games in SoFi Stadium.

For the students it’s not much difference, shuttle bus either way. UCLA may be trying to attract more season ticket holders with the nicer amenities of SoFi?

    Big 10 Pay-to-View only?

I get Peacock with Xfinity internet since it’s the same parent company. I use YouTube TV but subscribe only for football season since I don’t watch other sports much so it’s not worth the cost.

    This is a fireable offense

Yes, that is true. Question is why hasn’t Fleck really gotten even close to that kind of season again with several more years of his system and his players?

Post Game Thread: Hawkeyes Humiliate Gophers

A good QB… Gronowski is 111th in total offense and 109th in passer efficiency rating in FBS. I’d say he is an experienced FCS game manager who does enough with his legs and protects the ball to let the Iowa defense win games.

    This is a fireable offense

Well yes, players tend to get better with experience wouldn’t have expected any of them to be All Americans as freshmen. Thought we were talking about recruiting.
