Yes, probably. I don't see where he is a better candidate than many of the others. I'm on this thread hating on Dutcher (my lowest of the lowest on my poll) and to be honest, I don't understand all of the love for Gates. I'd like to see a few more years instead of a couple of adequate years...

I would be worried if Maturi was still the AD. We would be down to Miles, Saunders, and Chad Hartman.

He's not my top 3-5, but I don't think he would be a disaster hire. We could do a lot worse IMO.

This is a pretty good summary; with one exception for me. I honestly think that I'm the only person that is praying and hoping and begging Coyle not to hire Dutcher. He was a willing assistant coach for 34 years. He didn't have one opportunity to become a head coach in 3.5 decades? Now he is...
