In other news.....the ACC sucks.....7-5 Duke winning late in what is apparently the conference championship game. Good Lord....Duke trying to run out the clock and the RB goes out of bounds.....and then Virginia punt returner fair catches it at the 4.....just ugly football.

Indiana 2024 was good but benefited from an easy schedule and clearly wasn't ready for primetime. Indiana 2025 is a different story. Won some tough games in season and can clearly compete with anyone. They have hit a HR in the portal 2 years in a row Mendoza is special. How sustainable this...

Yeah, these guys probably clear out and are no longer around the team during bowl prep and what not. Suppose you could work something out if there were depth concerns for the game itself but as you said most of these guys are fringe guys who weren't in the mix anyway.

That would be my assumption as well, but they haven't been removed from the roster and could see a scenario where some are allowed to play.

I personally think Oklahoma should be in that debate as well because I think they are very overrated.

It is a play in scenario for Big 12 and ACC. But yeah, SEC and Big 10 championship games are just for bragging rights. That said, there may be a first round bye on the line in the SEC game, I think Indiana and Ohio State get one regardless.

100%.....way harder to buy your way to a title in football, not impossible, but harder. The number of players plus injuries makes it really difficult. Different story in basketball. Some rich dude could definitely come in and try to buy a dream team. Still have to get the right players...

I would have liked to see Mitchell with this current roster. He is one that definitely got better last year as the season went on. But looks like he found a great landing spot for his skill set.

There are a lot of parallels between what Iowa State has been under Campbell and what Minnesota has been under Fleck.

Dozier was the last minute flip from South Florida to us.

Based on his career trajectory...he will go be an analyst somewhere and eventually end up back at Rutgers for like his 4th stint there. As long as it isn't here I don't care where he goes. As for Rossi....wouldn't mind him coming back as long as he was committed to sticking around for a while.

Recollection is his dad was a solid DE when he played here. Would be cool to see the kid follow in dad's footsteps and come play for the U.
