Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

And yes, Oregon is beating up on JMU. But Oregon may well have beaten up on anyone. Tulane played fine against Ole Miss. They moved the ball great, but just couldn't convert when in counted. And another point to those who don't think a low seed can win - you aren't watching the FCS playoffs...

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

Well, after watching A&M today, that's probably not a hill to die on. And Texas, ND, and Vandy didn't qualify for the playoffs based on the agreement that all the conferences and ND made as to playoff qualification for this season. It has nothing to do with more competitive games, or being...

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

https://siniardlaw.com/blog/can-florida-state-sue-the-college-football-playoff-committee/ This discusses it a bit in relation to FSU being shut out of the four team playoff a few years ago. The conferences, plus Notre Dame, all have to agree, at least for now, on the format of the post season...

All Things 2025 College Football D2 and D3 Thread

Bunch of people here think the WIAC schools should be D2 like the MNSCU schools...because...some reason.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

And anyone griping about not having entertaining matchups must not have watched that shit show today between A&M and Miami. That was one of the worst games ever.

All Things 2025 College Football D2 and D3 Thread

People still spouting off about the Wisconsin schools being D3? UWRF beat Johns Hopkins today. Including grad students, JH has a student population of over 30,000. They are grandfathered up to the D1 level in lacrosse as a B1G member. School size has nothing to do with athletic classification.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

Literally nothing in his post makes any sense. It's just a bunch of words thrown together.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

There is no such thing as P5/G5. It's a media created term. It has no real definition in terms of classification. There is one division we are talking about and it's D1-FBS. It has 9 (10 next year with the PAC12 coming back) conferences. The legal theory is that if the B1G and SEC collude to...

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

At least I'm honest. I'm fairly impressed at how many others here are honest as well.

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

No offense taken. I've been quite clear that I accept that college football is a dirty business, run in large part by some pretty sleazy people.

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

Umm, why would I care one way or another if the Tommies make an NCAA tournament? I'm mostly indifferent towards them. I do think all the hand wringing about mentioning them here is funny though.

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

I wouldn't do what Moore did. I don't think I could do that. But I'd be just fine with a Stallings scandal and a coach that cheated on his wife and then melted down if it meant winning a natty and three B1G titles in the past few years. If someone wants to know where I'd draw the line -...

Farewell to the oldest arena in college sports.

I watched the piece on youtube last night. Sounds like there were serious structural problems. They built some strange exoskeleton on one side to keep it stable while they decided what to do.

    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

If instead of the Wolverines, it would have been the Gophers who won the national title in 2023, in addition to having won three consecutive B1G titles in that time? NGL, I think I would be fine with it.

Farewell to the oldest arena in college sports.

https://www.si.com/college/last-days-matthews-arena-bostons-overlooked-sports-cathedral We've talked a bunch here about tearing down the Barn. Here's an even older arena being replaced. Matthews was built in 1910 and has far more history. It was the first home of the Celtics, Bruins...
