My subscription expires in January and I've already told them that I will not be renewing. I managed to get a one year subscription to the Pioneer Press for $1.00 a month. It's even worse than the Star Tribune, but at least the price is right.

In theory, I don't care for what's going on either but, on the other hand, I was happy with Max Brosmer's year with the football team.

Agree about the Trib. Since the paper edition is now printed in Iowa, there's never any "late breaking" news anymore. Almost everything in it has been available online for a day or longer. And they cram so many videos into the online version that it's a pain to read. My subscription comes up...

Guess I didn't dig far enough. Sad that they no longer merit their own headline.

Another possible side effect of this weak non-conference schedule is a lack of coverage by the local papers. Maybe I missed them but I couldn't find a write-up in either the Star Tribune or Pioneer Press.

I agree. Nia should be getting more minutes. She's our best athletic jumper. Maryland was out jumping the Gophers all day. If she can't get minutes under these circumstances, I wouldn't blame her at all for considering the portal. Her family could still see her play at St. Thomas.

Her physicality may be an issue, maybe not. But they sure could of used her speed and quickness yesterday. Too often our players look like they're playing in slow motion. We could use some quick jumpers too.

I've got about 15 years on you, and it's right up there for me too.

Unfortunately, our two "stars", Braun and Battle, are way overrated. Not efficient shooters and too careless with the ball under pressure.

Whatever has happened to Battle? She's been a nonfactor today.
