    Band / crowd Question

It's very hard to hear the band if you don't happen to be in a seat facing a majority of the band. I think they could probably do a little bit less music/etc. Let the game breathe a bit, then ramp it up for big situations.

St. Thomas' football opener as D1 canceled because of COVID-19 protocols at St. Francis (Ill.)

Enrollment is really only a disadvantage when your school is so small, maybe less than 1000 undergrads, that you don't have a typical variety of majors. St. Thomas wasn't one of the bigger D3 schools, they just recruited better than most. Many other factors besides enrollment went into that...

U of M alum collects more than half a century's worth of sports programs, clippings

I'm sure a bunch of people watching that segment were pretty surprised when they learned about that Ohio State brawl for the first time. "He offered the Ohio State player a hand to help him up ( viewer thinks-oh wow, what a nice picture and memory of sportsmanship), then kneed him in the groin!"

I had forgotten that prices have doubled in 10 years.

    Huntington Bank Stadium

What happens when the next sponsor is not a Bank? It's the Brickhouse, end of story. Never use The Bank ever again, correct every person you meet who says the Bank.

    Huntington Bank Stadium

Time to take a stand for The Brickhouse. Don't settle for "the Bank".

Starting in 2024 - conference realignment

The Northfield commuters might be working in Eagan, not Minneapolis.

Starting in 2024 - conference realignment

Conferences where you don't play everyone every year will never make any sense. Let's break 'em up.

Gustavus Taking Facilities to Next Level for DIII

Steve Johnson from Bethel did not play at SJU. Glad to see you don't have unreasonable expectations for your son to be leading the Tommies to a bunch of wins in their first year.

NDSU football getting creamed right now by the Salukis

Zeb Noland might be proving that you can't just be a warm body to win at NDSU. NDSU doesn't have the recruiting advantage at the FCS level that Alabama has at the FBS level. They have to develop their players and execute their game strategy.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

Do you really only have to complete 58% of your passes to be one of the most accurate QBs in the country? https://www.mnfootballhub.com/stats/team_instance/4635222?subseason=606807&tab=team_instance_player_stats&tool=3673113

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

You're really underestimating how much it costs to go to UST. D2 public schools are absolutely cheaper for most students except for the very smart, or very poor who might be eligible for more aid. Most of their players don't fit into either of those two categories.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

2 FBS offers from Florida Atlantic and Central MIchigan but no FCS scholarship offers? How does that happen I wonder. Interesting prospect, would love to hear your full breakdown.

High school football returns to Minnesota this fall

Everytime you bring up Coon Rapids you fail to mention that in 2017 and 2018 they got crushed in their first game of the section playoffs in 5A, once by Chisago Lakes and once by the St. Francis team you're so worried about. If it was up to me 5A and 6A would be combined as there is still...

High school football returns to Minnesota this fall

Ideally you'd just have the classes based on competitiveness rather than school size. Coon Rapids is a better fit in 5 than 6.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

You're confusing capacity with average attendance, the only gym smaller in the Summit is the 3300 seat Betty Engelstad Center at North Dakota. Average size is 6,000. If the Tommies had a gotten a little luckier with the timing when they got the 60 million from the Andersons they could have...
