    Most memorable Gophers football win?

I feel like both. Even tho both teams were not playing for anything that yr, I felt like until we beat our rival, we were nothing. I watched that game on the edge of my seat, every second savoring it. Years of torture from relatives and friends disappeared. The fact now that we have a...

    Most memorable Gophers football win?

Imo....the 2018 is biggest MN win in last 20 yrs. Yes, the 1999 Penn St game put us back in the same realm and the 2019 game gave Fleck some clout. However, 15 yrs of losing to our archrival made us irrelevant. Until we did that, we had nothing to stand on. It's also why flecks inability to...

    Minnesota vs Alabama

2 of the most impressive drives in my Gopher Fandom lifetime didn't end in points. 1. Auburn drove mentioned above where we bled the clock to 0:00. 2. WI 2018- we went on iirc a 10 min ish drive that concluded w a missed FG but essentially left WI with 4 minutes to make up 2 scores. I remember...

The last year every Big Ten team beat Ohio State (Minnesota: 2000)

Go back and watch some of those games. Our DL was constantly getting blown off the ball. I remember that iowa game we won in 06...we should have been destroyed if Drew Tate wouldn't have gone Nathan Peterman and thrown a million picks. They were killing us.

247: Big Ten football: New Year's resolution for every team in conference (MN: Finally win the West)

I agree. Better chance WI will suck than be awesome. Same w Nebby. No change in other teams. If Harbaugh leaves and leaves a dumpster fire then we may have a chance vs Michigan.

247: Big Ten football: New Year's resolution for every team in conference (MN: Finally win the West)

I think it's more to do with the fact that we have been 1 win short for the last 3 full seasons(19, 21, 22) I feel somewhat like this too but I agree, the twins are brutal

    Iowa DB DeJean

It's funny...right before he fumbled they had a camera on Mo. He was huffing bad. I told my dad " they need to sit him for a play" They didn't. He fumbled. If he doesn't we likely kick a FG and win the game

Minnesota Football: Evaluating Year 6 of the P.J. Fleck era

Right..not sure. I think they like Lewis as he was the extra OL in the jumbo package

Minnesota Football: Evaluating Year 6 of the P.J. Fleck era

I get it. It isn't a for sure but if these things happen, thr probability of us winning those games goes up drastically. If we even kick a 45 yard FG w 2 Min to go, we win vs Iowa. The Purdue game is more in doubt but if we get those 10 pts, our winning probability is likely >90%. Sigh

Minnesota Football: Evaluating Year 6 of the P.J. Fleck era

I think Boe will be fine at C. The real issue is who's going to play at RG and RT.

Minnesota Football: Evaluating Year 6 of the P.J. Fleck era

This....we win those games and we are playing today vs Utah. Quite literally 3-4 plays kept us from the Rose Bowl: Mo fumble and Athan Int vs Iowa & MBS stone hands and Trickett shank vs Purdue. Imagine if MBS catches that Pass and Athans pass is batted down. We likely kick the FG and win vs...

    No OL transfers troubles me.

Johnson and Williams are both athletic freaks w bodies that are ready. I wouldn't be shocked if they played in 2024....2023, I doubt it. Nelson is another freak too that gushes athleticism and if he's gained enough weight could play in 2023.

    Michael Brown-Stephens

On the contrary...bc of the nature of that game, the game did hang on that play. This is exactly why the style of play we had last 2 yrs is so hard bc you have to play perfect to win (no turnovers, drops, missed tackles). Increasing plays per game decreases significance of each play...

2023 Chicago LB Matt Kingsbury commits to Gophers

The kid seems to be able to diagnose really well, get through the wash and shed blocks. Hits hard. Not sure about his speed and def time will tell on his coverage (pretty tight hips and lower body) However I think this kid could be valuable. If he went to a G5 or FCS school, he'd probably...

    Jack Henderson commits to Gophers

This. The program for years never had the depth to be a consistent 8 win team. PJ may make game management mistakes but he has created a full and complete 2 deep that isn't wiped out w injuries. It's just up to him to make the next step.
