It’s about season-long mindset that carries through in every game for me. Same as Parker’s defense in Iowa. The aggressive mindset, from the HC on down, pervades the team’s confidence and approach to the game. It manifests in blowouts of lesser opponents and even those with whom you are arguably...

    Curt Cignetti

I think he’ll become more wide open if he decides he wants a legacy of over-achievement and giant killing. If he is good with a legacy of winning seasons (7-5, 8-4), without any upside shockers, he’s already there and can cruise along to legacy wealth and a career in broadcasting after coaching...

Indiana's defense was not conservative, IMHO. It attacked Sayin all night, taking some big chances hoping he couldn't beat a blitz. Very little rush three, drop back eight into a statue-like zone. On offense, Indiana consistently threw downfield, including throwing into contested catch...

    Curt Cignetti

One big difference: Cignetti is 64 years old; PJ is 45. Cignetti has learned a lot of hard football lessons over the years and Indiana is probably his last hurrah. PJ, relatively, is still wet behind the ears. At Cignetti's "advanced" age, at JMU and now Indiana, he clearly has settled on a...

We now own the longest conference championship drought in Big 10 football

I’m pretty sure we have a concept of a plan …

Official 2025 Conference Championship Weekend thread

Indiana’s skill guys on offense: QB Mendoza rated low 3* 82 out of HS (Cal). Developed well, rated 93 as a transfer. WR Elijah Sarratt was NOT RATED out of HS (St. Francis in PA). Rated 90 as a transfer. WR Charlie Becker a 3* 88 committed to Indiana. WR Jonathan Brody rated 80 out of HS (New...

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

When I look at (1) team records, and (2) the fact that USC and Washington should, by rights, go to one of the many bowls with a former PAC-12 tie-in (last year of this feature), that means Illinois or Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska should get the Las Vegas, Music City and Guaranteed Rate Bowl, s...

Added WRs Cristian Driver and Legend Lyons. That's six WRs out the door through eligibility (2) or transfer (4). Only one of the six had significant playing time/yardage (Brockington). After a year in which our leading WR had under 500 yards, the WR "room" looks to be getting a "refresh."

    Thoughts on 2026?

It should be a toss-up game with Gophers facing an athletic dual threat QB, as they did in the Cal game. Coaching and game plan will be important. Contain the QB; don’t just give their receivers 7-8 yards passes uncontested. We win, I think.

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Great time for Dehnicke to transfer to the U. He's battle-tested and the Gophs have four TEs moving on from the program because of eligibility: Geers, Biber, Bierman and DiSano. Huge opportunity for Dehnicke to move into significant playing time right off the bat.

    Thoughts on 2026?

The GHer who started the chain had MState chalked up as a win (and WI at 50/50). Lot of folks had Cal chalked up as a win last year. Not suggesting the team will sleep on MState--no way. But suggesting that GH prognosticators of next year's record might be chalking up as a probable win a game...

    Thoughts on 2026?

Don't sleep on Mississippi State. Our 2026 HS recruiting best-class-in-history finished at 29th on 24/7. Mississippi State's 2026 class came in at 26th. And Mississippi State usually makes hay in the transfer portal. As withCal this year, overlook a worthy opponent at our peril. This could be...

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Just saw an article that Emmett Johnson didn't walk on senior day at Nebraska. Folks thought he would be going to NFL. Has one more year of eligibility left. If Raiola leaves Nebraska, who knows if Emmett sticks around? Maybe Emmett finishes up somewhere else? Dare we hope?

This Post will keep track of the total number of open spots for the coming 2026 Roster. Could be several more additions to this list in the coming weeks, as we approach Transfer Portal opening. My net number assumes an NCAA roster cap of 105 players (and that we were at max roster in 2025)...

2025 transfer Mo Omondoe's status? He didn't walk, it looks like, but he only had one year of eligibility. Medical waiver for another year?

    Who walks on Saturday?

Mo Omonode, DT transfer had one year of eligibility. If he didn't walk does that mean he can come back? Injury year??

Maybe add the "Out of Eligibility" piece? That's the biggest number in terms of roster turnover.

Depth WR has two agents? Someday college football will rationalize again. But it will be a while.
