Post Game Thread: Gophers Gutsy in Comeback Win, Bowl Eligible!

That was a crazy crazy game...back in the old days when I still got excited about Gopher basketball.

I think they're coached, or they should be, to never extend the ball into the endzone unless its a do or die 4th down play. Extending leads to fumbles into the endzone.

Describe Gophers win over MSU in 1 sentence

Who'da thunk the Gophers could win with these stats!

The timing of the calls was...odd...but MSU played very physical with the Gopher receivers and mostly got away with it until late. The Gopher D Backs didn't even get close enough to play physical in the second half!

I mean, a NYD bowl is the goal, but if it's going to be a lesser bowl, it might as well be a big party in Vegas!

I'll give PJ credit, the Gophs are 3-0 in one score games this year, something he said they needed to improve coming off of last year.

To be fair, the PI that got reversed should have never been called. On the other hand, it sure looked like Lindsey might have stepped out...which would have been dumb as he hadn't been touched yet.

He stepped out I thought. Officiating will be questioned big time after this. But so what!!!!!!!!!!

MSU receivers catch balls with no one within 5 yards...

Can the Gophs stop any big passing plays for these last few seconds?

He needs receivers that can actually go up and get those balls. Coleman might be the only guy that can do that but he's never on the field.

I wish I was enough of an offensive mind to understand why the Gopher receivers are seldom open including that last failed 3rd down. Talent or play design?

    FIRE GREG HARBAUGH

Making the new quarterback look like Pat Mahomes. MN teams have a habit of doing that...

MSU picking apart the Gophs loose zone D. Hard to watch. They need to tighten up in the red zone for that to work.

When it comes to off season NIL negotiations, Lindsey needs to demand that the Gophers get a couple receivers that actually catch the ball consistently. Tracy has a nice long reception but drops two in the endzone and another on the key 3rd down before the half. Brutal.

Even with the same offense as Minnesota's today, Iowa would have at least 10 more points via made field goal and special teams or defensive returns.

That might be the worst kick I've ever seen.

Tracy gets them close to the redzone then fails twice in the redzone. Frustrating.
