Playing college football with your buddies is a once in a lifetime and finite thing. The vast majority of the players on these teams have zero chance at the NFL. Strap it up and play while you can. This isn’t a life sport like hoops or hockey that you can play going forward for shits and giggles...

RTB and FAMILY I’m sure it gets old. PJ has been through 50 instances of turnover give or take in the time that he’s been here as he says his schtick is not for everybody. Money is not the issue. You’re either too ignorant or too stubborn to figure that out.

For an assistant coaches pool, yes. They could pay a multiple of up to at least three for reputable coordinators compared to our guys without even feeling a pinch, but they have two guys like I said one just being out of living in a closet; both analysts five years ago. I almost want PJ to...

Hell, PJ had to overpay our current coordinators just to get them into some semblance of what a big 10 coordinator should make. It’s such a quaint story that one of them lived in a closet five years ago. But now he’s making 600-700 grand which is more than any other coach in America would come...

Historically in my lifetime too, which is quite a few decades, it’s almost impossible to hire worse athletic directors than we have which has polluted our athletic department for that whole time. Relative to assistant coaches right now we have funds aplenty to pay top-notch assistant coaches if...

Here is TxTech billionaire walking through blueprint for how they bought their way into the national spotlight. This is the new college football.

If you were a billionaire who wanted to give money to the U athletic programs and sat down with Coyle and he couldn’t put two cogent sentences together would you give it to him for distribution?

It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

In theory, the practices would help but did you find anything in this year‘s performance that would say last year‘s bowl game practices helped either our players or coaches? Probably not. I will say that if we get to see young players more, I’m all for that.

Am I missing something? Are we not getting an equal share of all that millions and billions of dollars of the Big Ten media money? I guarantee you if PJ went to Coyle and said I needed another 2 1/2 million in my assistance pool and borrow the way you give me another million on top of that he...

A lot of the stuff I read from you sounds like it came straight from band camp.

Win more games. Have a less goofy head coach and hire a better AD. What an absolute nonsensical match up you couldn’t pay me to go to that game.

You don’t know anymore that it was money related than I know it was related to get away from all of PJ’s nonsense. I guess that’s probably fair. What I will say is we’re part of the Big Ten conference which gets paid a gazillion dollars split equally amongst each school. We have plenty of GD...

Absolutely not true. After folks bailing on him and FAMILY repeatedly, he went young and dumb for those roles. You saw the results this year.

He has absolutely enough salary to pay staff. NIL I’ll give you the struggle a bit but staff salary isn’t an issue our two coordinators were analysts a minute ago he pays them plenty. The rest of the staff is full of never has beens and the pay is accordingly.

Interesting. My guess is PJ sits there at 45 years old with a gazillion dollars in the bank thinking anyone who criticizes him and his philosophy just doesn’t get it. I don’t think he’s smart enough nor will he be inclined to change his philosophies the results will continue to be middling.

    Thoughts on 2026?

I still don’t see Taylor back next year and if he is would it be with an NIL reduction? Has to be!?

We now own the longest conference championship drought in Big 10 football

Key talent other than OL I guess it’s started to come out that we missed on two or three recruiting classes in a row recently. Now that I hear that it at least kinda explains dropping off a cliff there. Other than QB and maybe CB, missing onOL recruits is a killer.

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

Probably mostly true but Campbell was widely popular at ISU and comparatively had many more marquee wins than PJ. I think he has the “it” factor to handle that job just fine.

Would you rather have our guy and our results or their guy and their results?

We now own the longest conference championship drought in Big 10 football

The portal has been a net gain for us overall, PJ has clamped down the border and we have as much talent as we ever have. It just hasn’t translated; at least yet. A couple of key injuries at either Indiana or Texas Tech and their seasons are completely different.

If you consider the games entertainment, which I do as well, you must’ve had a significant lack of entertainment this year!. That said, if we play Iowa State in Phoenix, that’s a great result.
