You can identify an active storm track long range, which is exactly what is happening beginning today. You cannot forecast the placement of heavy snow more than a few days in advance, and sometimes not even until within 24 hrs.

Looks like the storms will split right around the game. A few inches of snow are likely tonight/tomorrow AM, then another few inches are likely late Friday night through Saturday AM. During the game it will be mostly cloudy with temps in the mid 20s and light winds.

Oregon will also be without their top two reception leaders in WR's Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. Moore missed last week's game and Bryant Jr was injured in the 1st quarter against Iowa. Add in Taylor for the Gophers and I think it's going to be a grind it out game for both teams.
