Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

Obviously this is not good for a bad team that lacks depth. But Willis has been the most disappointing player on the roster so far this season. Shinholster has looked like he can be a player moving forward and will now see a lot more playing time.

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

When you're located in the middle of nowhere, don't have the same money that Ohio St, Oregon, and Michigan has, fire your long time head coach 6 games into the season after winning 2 CFP games the previous season, you're going to struggle to find a new HC that wants to sign up for that. You...

In the pay for play era BYU has become a really good job. They have plenty of money to throw around. It may have seemed crazy to say 5 years ago, but I don't know why Sitake would leave his alma mater for Penn St. He has just as good of a chance if not better to win at BYU than at Penn St.

Kwesi was only with Browns for 2 seasons. They won 11 games and a playoff game his first season. They were 8-9 in year 2 then he left. The Browns won 11 games again 2 years later. Prior to that he was with the 49ers for 7 years. His resume wasn't as bad as you guys are making it out to be just...

Fire KAM and hire John McKay from the Rams. He's already worked with KOC so let him make the decision if he stays or goes. I'm really indifferent if KOC stays at this point. He has good qualities but his stubborn, and terrible play calling outweighs his positives.

    Who walks on Saturday?

He will measure extremely well at the combine. He's a perfect 3-4 DE with his size and pass rushing ability. He finished second in the B1G in sacks this year with 10.5, only .5 off the lead. He also just turned 21 this summer, so he is young for this being his 4th season. It would be very...

If Mason is the #1 RB, they have a below average starting RB . They're not moving Darrisaw regardless of this 'disconnect'. It makes their cap situation worse and they would likely significantly downgrade with his replacement. It makes zero sense. It's going to be extremely difficult to...

If they're that deep on the DL then why did they spend so much money on Allen and Hargrave? They are the top 2 reasons why the cap situation is bad for next season. Cutting Allen only saves 4 million. Hargrave is older and would save 11 million so he would make more sense. Jordan Mason is a...

He was the DC under Saban at Alabama for 4 years before taking the Ole Miss DC job. Those are the types of coordinators who get promoted.

We aren't throwing it for a yard and a half either, we haven't all season.

They are projected to be ~24 million over the cap next season right now. Cutting those 4 get you gets you a savings of roughly 30 million, putting them only 6 million under the cap. Kelly - 9 million Hockenson - 9 million Jones - 8 million Allen - 4 million Then you have to replace them and...

Gophers 2025 Movement Roster Thread - Transfers, Bowl Opt-Outs, Etc.

The only other defenses that gave up more points per game were Maryland, Michigan St, Rutgers, Purdue and UCLA. They have a combined B1G record of 7-38. The offense was bad but they had a FR QB, new OL, mostly new WRs, and were missing their star RB for most of the season. I think that had far...

This was 2nd worst post Rob Smith defense PJ has had. The only one slightly worse was 2 years ago in Rossi's final year when they went 5-7. I threw out the Covid year.

I disagree that they are going to restructure their way out of it. They're not going to restructure Jefferson, Darrisaw, or Murphy who are all on new deals. Greenard, O'Neil, and Van Ginkle would make some sense but the latter 2 will be 31. Do you really want to try and extend/restructure...

Maybe. But he's 64, an a-hole that failed at LSU, and has watched his replacement at Notre Dame nearly win a natty, a place that he left because he said he couldn't win a championship there. I'm not sure how in demand he'll really be.
