Troy Aikman is ‘done’ funding NIL: ‘Didn’t even get a thank you’

This is how I feel too. In the past 8 or 10 years I have reconnected with my undergraduate school (Luther College). Every time that I send them any gift they respond immediately with a thoughtful "thank you" note. The last time I donated they sent me a specific message that I am very close to...

    Blog..."Reshaping Teen Behavior"

Thanks for sharing this! It reminds me of an Albert Einstein quote. It went something like, "We spend all this time reading books and learning from them, but at some point its time to write your own book." I just bought your book on Amazon. In case anyone cares, I'm planning to retire next...

It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

The wife unexpectedly bought me a same day turn around flight to PHX so I'll get to see the game. Trying to recall how many times I have been to this bowl game. Off the top of my head I recall seeing Iowa St, Kansas, Texas Tech (ugh...) WVU and perhaps a couple more. I came close to a coronary...

It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

Texan, I'm trying to determine if I met you and your wife at the bowl in Houston several years back. I'm probably off base, but did your wife go to a small Baptist college in Plainview, TX?

It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

Have lived in Vegas for 25 years. I think that it is slightly cooler than Phoenix, during both summer and winter. That being said, its still too hot in the summer here and too cold in the winter. Went to the Rate Bowl a couple of years ago. It was rainy and miserable for that West Virginia...

    Thoughts on 2026?

Yep, I was a student at the U of South Carolina (1984-87 and 1990-94), who became an SEC member during my last year there. When I attended my first game in 1984 (vs, Kansas St IIRC) i was surprised by the elaborate tailgate set ups. The other thing was how the frat boys and sorority girls...

QB Jackson Kollock will enter the portal.

Others have done it (Sammy Baugh I think). It can' be seen, but he might have his thumb on the laces.

QB Jackson Kollock will enter the portal.

While transferring is a risk, "waiting for your turn," is a bigger one IMHO. Best of luck to him.

    National Signing Day

Watched the press conference. My track record on this is not good, but I predict big contributions will be made by Aaden Aytch and Howie Johnson. That being said, sll of the guys were impressive. Go Gophers!

8 win seasons could be tough

Yes, we have little margin for error, similar to Rutgers and Wisconsin. One mistake at a key point, you lose the game.

Week 14 Rivaly Week Other Games Thread

He could have kicked a short Field Goal to put them up by 8, went for it and failed. A little later he went for it again in his own territory and failed. I thought both moves were ill advised, especially the first one.

2025 Minnesota High School Football Thread

Played HS football in the mid-70's. Do they still teach "sink your hips, keep you feet moving, extend into the ball carrier and head across the bow?"
