    Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow against Wisc. But if the offense performs as well as it did against NW -- again, was supposed to be a defensive battle -- then I literally could not care any less about what has happened the past three years. What matters is now and going forward.

Stop telling half of college football they don’t belong.

Indiana is overrated. They're better this year because Mendoza is a legit Heisman candidate. They'll lose to Ohio State and probably lose at a neutral bowl site on NYD. So once again, accomplishing nothing of note in the season. Cig skated big time in 2023 and 2024. Only had one important...

2025 Minnesota High School Football Thread

(Sorry know I'm late on this) Kinda wild that two teams with 4 regular season losses are the ones to make it?? On the MG side of the bracket, I'm wondering if Lakeville South was the perfectly wrong mismatch for MG, they played their Superbowl to win, and then Moorhead was the perfectly wrong...

That's literally what I just clarified. You said it. I responded to it. Either clarify your point, or this exchange is done. Happy Thanksgiving!

    The Portal and the xDSU’s

NDSU gets very few guys out of Iowa. Don't know what the deal is with that ... but has always been true. ND, SD, MN, and Wisc are their bread and butter and have been for a long time. Lot of in-roads with high school programs in those states.

PP: Awkward situation looms for P.J. Fleck

It'll be Northwestern in Detroit, anyway. They'd bring more fans, who are closer and just happy to be in a bowl game. If we go 6-6, I all but guarantee it's the Rate Bowl in Phoenix. Great area with a lot of U alumni. We want to be there. If we get to 7-5, there's a chance we could get into...

    Replace Greg Harbaugh Jr. With?

Everything that was predicted about the Northwestern game was wrong. - the field surface was just fine - the weather was just fine - was supposed to be a low-scoring "first to 20 wins" battle of two completely inept offenses ... wrong Our offense did great. Scored 35 and if our kicker didn't...

    Youtuber facilities tour

Seems like a great video! Is Marucci bigger than UND's arena?

Probably ... but we do have John Wolford. And Darrison and Jackson didn't practice yesterday. If they're both out ... Brosmer is going to take some very big hits with awful Skule at LT. Brandel is fine at LG and should still be the starting C (Kelly should be forced to retire)

If Wentz's injury had not ended his season, it would be Wentz going back in (if indeed McCarthy doesn't start). Brosmer is still defacto a 3rd string QB. He's just "backup" (in name only), in case McCarthy actually gets hurt in a game and can't keep going. (Which is a bit weird, as he kept...

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

This reads as, it's a done deal and he didn't want it announced yet ... leaked out without his permission. I'd be pissed too, but that doesn't mean he's going to welsh on the deal.

    Fleck: ‘We’re a 6-5 football team, this isn’t 2-10’

Unfortunately, with how crappy college football is setup, I don't think you can "depend" on any player, any year, being a for sure thing to come back. At least there's only one portal window. You can see who makes it to the other side. *caveat to that is, as far as I know, anyone who graduates...

Fleck: This is still a developmental program. Year nine has nothing to do with it. Every year is its own entity. We lost nine NFL players last year…

Fleck = 1-2 losses per year that could have easily been wins. Sometimes more, in bad years. 2024, we should have beaten UNC and Rutgers. That turns 7-5 into 9-3. This year, if we manage to beat Wisconsin, it's basically the same thing. Cal and Northwestern games were there to be won. Can...

They took tons of OL guys and missed on a bunch. Both high school players and certainly this year transfers. Losing Daniels to Ohio State doesn't help either.
