    Michigan State Game.

The Gophers are 3-0 after the worst 3 losses that come to my mind in PJ's tenure - 2018 vs Illinois and Nebraska and 2021 vs Bowling Green. So far they've been good at bouncing back after those types of games and not letting them ruin the season.

That's from 2024 with Hetherman still on staff and includes all assistant coaches.

Trying to match offers is a recipe for failure. You need to pay guys competitively before they get a better offer. As of December 2024, Minnesota was 15th in the Big 10 in assistant coach pay with no available numbers for USC, Penn State, and Northwestern.

    This is a fireable offense

Which part? Who left for a head coaching job or without getting a raise?

    This is a fireable offense

They weren't taken away, Mark Coyle wouldn't pay them enough to keep them. They weren't leaving to take head coach jobs.

+/- $100k for every point of margin against rivals and $1 million for every win/loss. Lose by 31 to Iowa and lose $4.1 million. Beat them by 50 and get an extra $6 million. I'm sure it would change the results.

Glad we finally got a hard hit on the QB but taunting the crowd while down 31 doesn't help.

    This is a fireable offense

PJ shouldn't and won't get fired this year short of issues off the field. He shouldn't get a raise or extension though and any extra funding should go to getting quality coordinators.

I don't care if we win out and finish 10-3 including a bowl, losses like this are unacceptable and set the program way back. What recruit is going to want to come here after seeing this? Who is going to want to spend big NIL on a team that does this? If the tickets weren't already sold, how...

Any pass defense is going to look good when the QB has as little time to throw as Nebraska did

If Iowa doesn't let up this is on pace to be a worse blowout than against Northwestern State.

After 8 years this is on Coyle for continuing to reward these performances and failing to spend enough on good in-game coaches to make up for PJ's poor in-game coaching. Add a million to retain coaches/coordinators and turn extensions and raises into bonuses contingent on beating rivals. If...

Need to get bigger hits on the QB if he wants to run the ball. Hit him hard enough and he'll stop running.

They've had over a month to stop the 3-man rush and haven't.

Defense looks rough, too much time to throw and too many missed tackles. Will be a long day if that continues.

Having the height and size catching passes right now, all of the receivers getting targets now are smaller.

    Crowd last night ⚡️⚡️⚡️

The band stayed in place for the Penn State field rush in 2019 and fortunately no one got seriously hurt but there was a lot of pushing and shoving to prevent the portion of the band in the stands for getting jammed into the wall. A trumpet also got badly damaged and the band got a close up view...

What grade would you give the Gophers coaches and players in the win over Nebraska?

Easy A. Still don't like the occasional 3-man rush, giving up on drives, and missed tackles but overall that was a dominant win. If they played the full season at that level they'd be 10-2 and probably be in the playoff.
