I get your point and it's a good one. However, being how large the 6A schools are, they have a lot more kids to participate. I just think, and I could be wrong, 6A schools tend to have a slightly larger representation in all-state lists than this year, on the defensive side anyway.

I think its the top tier 5A teams that would push back on that.

Good point. Anders Lee was a hell of a football player. Tough for a Minnesota kid to choose football over hockey unless it's truly their passion. Much bigger upside with hockey.

Ummmmm....Coach Grant has never played Elk River and he's only coached against the Lakeville South Power T twice; he's 1-1 against it. Regardless, they aren't playing South this weekend.

By reading local media as well as posts here, people don't seem to be giving Centennial much of a chance to beat South. Not sure why that is. In think they win and give EP a real competitive game in the Prep Bowl (EP wins).

Potts is a good coach and has done an exceptional job this season. Edina got a good hire. However, to suggest a coach who has one winning season in his career, is perhaps the best coach in 6A, is laughable.

Brainerd was 6A and dropped to 5A last year. Reclassification will happen again in 25-26. Brainerd is actually slightly losing enrollment as some nearby districts like Pequot Lakes have grown the size of their districts.

Nothing is ever fair my friend, including public schools. Even with the free/educated lunch equation, do you really think Richfield's 900 kids have the same advantages as Orono's 900 kids? That being said, you completely missed the main thesis of my post....
