I hear your point. I could also argue that if a 6A team can truly kick the ass of 5A teams, they should not be playing a relief schedule in the first place. Frankly, I would be fine with doing away with it altogether.

I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseam, but relief scheduling is beyond dumb. If teams cannot compete, they should be able to appeal to play in a lower class for two years maximum.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sold on all the teams in the West being thrilled at the prospect of adding Maple Grove to an already brutal schedule.

Makes sense I guess, but the MSHL would open a huge can of worms if they allow a school to chose their district. If they do so for one team, they could not justify not following the same requests for any other school; a precedent I'm sure they don't want to set.
