Post Game Thread: Oregon Fumbles TD, Blows Out Gophers

Where in my post did I make a claim about a specific year? Your demand for a specific year went above and beyond my post. What I do know is that Clemson used to be kings of the world, Dabo walked on water. How about now? Exact same coach. Same facilities, same fanbase.

I don't think it should take up the entire rev share fund to get a badass OL. Just like it doesn't take up the entire cap in the NFL. I'm just saying we need an upgrade there.

No one is talking about Indiana if they go 9-3 in 2024 and 2025. You're absolutely correct that it's a huge step up from where they were, but no one is giving them the attention they're getting now and acting like Cignetti walks on water.

Two Schools Are Reportedly Considering Leaving The Big Ten

Even though there's no trophy for winning the division, it still gets you a playoff berth so that is something. Would love to get back to some kind of four-team division in college football, whether that's strictly in the Big Ten or as part of a super league. At that point, I want to see 12 P5...

To the school. The U of MN has a massive endowment. I doubt that came to be just from small gifts. How many give massive gifts to (IU, or the U of MN for that matter) athletic department specifically?

That's impossible for me to answer unless I can see all rev share & NIL payments right now to all P4 players. (And that should be the case, just like in the NFL. Absolutely no reason these guys paydays shouldn't be known.)

With an average QB, they guaranteed lose to Penn State. Very well could lose to Oregon and Iowa. That's a huge shift in the season outcome

So they can go sit on the bench at a helmet school for the same or less money than they're making at Minnesota? That makes no sense to me. Minnesota is a place to come to play right away and get valuable playing experience in a top league of college football, best preparing yourself for an NFL...

I'm talking about a very specific upgrade of the roster. You saw Oregon's OL last night. We need more like that

Agree 100% Although, will be interesting to see USC vs Oregon

The contract stops. But the Wilfs could well have paid him in actual cash upfront. The cap hit doesn't have to reflect that. He doesn't have to give that money back. I suspect the Wilfs would do the right thing, regardless. Best ownership in the NFL, hands down

NW is the same quality of opponent as those others.

What it's time to do is to pay some $$$ to some big, bad mamma-jamma's on the OL. That's what it's time to do.

Gophers Fleck opening statement after Oregon.

We've lost on the road and won at home because of the really weird, incredible lopsided quality of opponents at home vs on the road. (One exception being Cal.) NW is the same quality as Nebraska, Mich State, Rutgers, Purdue. It's going to be a really close, hard fought game, don't get me...

In the Gophers 3 Big Ten loses this season, Minnesota has been out scored 125-19.

Complaining about this loss is the exact same thing as Wolverhampton fans complaining about a bad loss to Man City. That's what college football is. That's by far the best analogy. It is not a level playing field. It is not the NFL with a hard cap and every team having the same cap amount and a...

Mendoza could well win the Heisman. All it will take is them getting on just average QB, and they'll be the same thing that Clemson currently is. How is that not true?

In 2025 they've had two nice wins. They'll lose in the Big Ten champ game to Ohio State. Then they'll lose in the 2nd round of the playoff as I expect them to get a first round bye, since the new rules are that those can now go to non-conf champions. Was that a worthwhile season? I guess...

Because we lost at Ohio State and Oregon? What about beating Rutgers, Purdue, Nebraska, and Michigan State??

All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Huge problem with this statistic. Which obviously has to be the case ... because otherwise how could they win 14 games in 2022 and 15 games in 2024 otherwise? And that clearly is: it doesn't say a thing about how often they're getting into 3rd/4th and short , in the first place. Point is...
