He’s an excellent QB in the pocket. Unfortunately, we lack an offensive line that’s able to maintain a pocket for their QB to throw from.

ALL WHITE - ICY GOLDY Uniforms against Iowa

Outscored 83-6 in our last 2 games wearing these. Ritualistically burn them so they’re never seen again.

Bye everyone. I’ve got better things to do with my afternoon than watch another year of turtling against Iowa.

Did Nessler just make a comparison between Gronowski and Tim freaking Tebow?

Emphatically answering their TD drive with a 3 and out!

Brutal. I can handle our defense getting chewed up and spit out by Ohio’s State’s offense, but not this garbage outfit.

If we let this 1955 offense throw successfully it’s going to be a long day.

    Fleck and KOC

Umm, not that I’m aware of. I don’t think Holtz was around town long enough to build any relationships beyond Sid and Harvey McKay.

    Fleck and KOC

It's reminiscent of the warm collegiality shared between Lou Holtz and Les Steckel in 1984.

ALL WHITE - ICY GOLDY Uniforms against Iowa

Aside from the Goldy helmet decal, this is the same uni combo we wore for the road beatdown we received from Ohio State a few weeks ago. We should've changed this one up.

Greatest individual sports achievement in Gopher history.

I'd be remiss if I didn't include the best Gophers performance I ever saw in person: Bobby Jackson against Clemson in the '97 Sweet 16: 36 points and 9 boards in an ironman 49 minutes. He refused to let that team lose. An absolutely brilliant game from a briliant player.

Concessions at the Barn are whack

I truly admire Arthur Blank for doing this, although he does have many billions to cushion the financial blow.

The Athletic: College football fans may need to get used to losing more often. Is anyone ready?

Based on the last 55 years, Gophers fans may be better positioned than any fan base in America to be used to losing more often.

Greatest individual sports achievement in Gopher history.

Dave Winfield was Shohei before Shohei. In the 1973 College World Series semifinal against USC he went the first 8 innings, allowing only an infield single while striking out 15 against a Trojans team that included future major leaguers Fred Lynn, Roy Smalley, Rich Dauer and Steve Kemp. He left...

    Wrigley Field

Maybe the solution is for the two of us to just meet at Murphy’s and drink beer together. We’d be Wrigley adjacent without bringing our bad karma into the stadium.

    Wrigley Field

I’m debating it, but I have serious scar tissue and PTSD from the last two Gophers road games I’ve attended: the brutal 4th quarter collapse at Northwestern in 2023, and this year’s no-show at Ohio State. I may need to stay home, for luck’s sake, if nothing else.
