***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The Gophers have a really piss poor offensive line, especially in run blocking I'm glad they aren't running like a service academy anymore but I didn't ask for being far below average at it

I bet the over the Gophers are supposed to sling it all over and suck on defense and have a Wacker-era Purdue-Minnesota classic

    Penn State

Penn State is debatably the worst team in the conference. 0-3 in the Big Ten Have not defeated a P4 opponent Lost to what were believed to be 2 of the 3 worst teams, including one of them at home. Is there any tangible reason why they are not the worst Big Ten football team?

    Week 7 Other Games Thread

Even though football has changed a ton over the years, and the membership of the Big Ten has changed dramatically...TV folks still insist on the old tropes about the conference. That it's super physical and tough and a little bit stone age. And that the SEC is speed and finesse. Even though...

Who remembers when Tanner Morgan (@T_morg2) went 21 for 22, throwing 396 yards and four touchdowns against Purdue?!?

One of the finest QB performances I've ever seen for the Gophers, second only to his absolute gem vs Penn State in 2019. 18/20 339 YD 3 TD 0 INT against a top 5 team. Anyone remember this Purdue game in 2012? Also one of the finest halves of Gopher passing I can remember. 246 yards all in the...

"If Minnesota wants to entertain a modicum of hope, it must beat Nebraska."

Minnesota also hasn't lost to wisconsin in front of paying customers at Camp Randall in 10 years either (it's actually 9 but will be 10 by next year's game there)

Mason says it's "mind boggling" why Eslinger, Spaeth and TC don't have their jerseys retired at The U

I do think having no retired / honored numbers and names since Sandy Stephens on the upper deck facade at The Bank, along with the last Big Ten title in 1967 adds to the picture of Gopher football as a thing of the distant past. It would be nice to see a few of our contemporary stars up there...

    Sugar Daddy!?

I suppose we have no option but to go buy the It's Not An Option book from Pete Najarian they constantly advertise on Bloomberg https://www.itsnotanoption.com/ Then put all the proceeds on Nvidia calls. It's really the only option for an 8th national title

Mason says it's "mind boggling" why Eslinger, Spaeth and TC don't have their jerseys retired at The U

The logistics of retiring college football numbers stands in the way. They should do what a few schools do and not retire any jersey numbers, but perhaps do a patch on those numbers and have them in a ring of honor. Usually when those numbers are issued someone of some distinction receives them.

Bill Belichick has banned Patriots scouts from attending UNC practices to scout their players

North Carolina probably does something similar, but I suppose Drake Maye gets redacted. Because the petty squabbles of their head coach currently override the success of a player Belichick never coached, possibly has never met, and who plays for a distinctly different era of a franchise he...

Week 7 AP Poll - Texas and Penn State OUT

Penn State's QBs often end up disappointing compared to their NFL hype and it looks like Arch Manning and Texas are taking a page from their playbook.

Bill Belichick has banned Patriots scouts from attending UNC practices to scout their players

Most programs would be excited about developing a quality pro QB and tout that in order to attract other potential QBs to campus. Look at how Minnesota's history of NFL safeties helped attract Koi Perich, for example. I'm sure the U's accounts were all over the big plays Howden and Nubin made...

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

Wow, it only took 4.5 games for Max Brosmer to go from UDFA and QB4 to probably playing the whole 2nd half of a close NFL game. Would be the longest QB stint for a Gopher QB (who played a full season in the role) in NFL history
