This is the type of messaging I would expect to see from an FCS team's head coach after losing to Ohio State. The most depressing thing is that so many gophers fans are fine with our head coaching talking about moral victories and having a "at least both teams had fun" attitude.

Still amazed by the number of posters who thinks Fleck's job is just to put a team on the field and make sure everybody has fun. He's been head coach for what -- 8 years? And he's nowhere near putting a team that will compete for the Big 10 title on the field. His recruiting is terrible, so...

Fleck has some of the worst average recruiting classes in the Big 10. We should expect to end up as one of the worst in the big 10. 5 wins.

I wonder what it would take for Gophers fan to start calling for Fleck's job? Maybe if we lost to Bowling Green? Oh wait. . .

We lost to a team that went 2-6 in a bad conference last year and we had trouble beating a MAC team. Is 9-3 possible? Sure. 11-1 is possible. Is it likely? Absolutely not

Is it too much to ask that we sometimes recruit better than Iowa? Wisconsin? Purdue?

This is the expected result of Fleck's poor recruiting. Every year, his recruiting class is in the bottom-half of the Big 10. He simply doesn't do a good job getting players. The result is on the field. But that's okay for us, right Gophers fans? We don't expect a winning team like other...

"I like Fleck, even though he loses" The reason why we stay terrible. Fans in other Big 10 programs would be calling for Fleck's head. We grant an extension, a raise, and praise for a job "well done"

And we fans reward this mediocrity. Fleck would have been fired in most Big10 programs.

Rutgers has already beaten Ohio twice this year. We don't stand a chance.

Are those the kind of play calls that those who have been calling our playcalling "gutless" wanted? A terribly designed trick play that puts us out of fieldgoal range?

Well Gopher fans, unfortunately, we cannot play FCS and MAC teams all year. It's going to be another long one. Recruit in the bottom half of the Big 10 -- don't be surprised when you end up in the bottom half of the Big 10 standings at the end of the season.

Why? Iowa competes. Wisconsin competes. We should be able to recruit at Iowa or Wisconsin levels. Instead, we have a empty trophy room.

I want Fleck fired for failing to recruit at a Big 10 level and for failing to take the Gophers to the next level. We're going to a Fleck-level toilet bowl again. Are you happy?

Fleck still has not recruited the talent to compete against real Big 10 teams. Our guys gave it their all, but as long as Fleck is at the helm, this is our ceiling.
