All Things 2022 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Weird how 4 Hall of Fame QB's all have come apart at the seams, for a variety of reasons. I had expected all to have a great year, two with new teams. Rodgers- Whiny and petty. Lead your young WR's, don't bitch and pout. Brady - Couldn't muster a TD against Carolina, led by PJ Walker...

    Tanner Morgan injury watch thread

I'm not a MD and have zero expertise in the matter, but I can't see how a player can be concussed and play the next week. Everything I've read suggests that multiple concussions in such a short time frame is very bad. Tua played, Kenny Pickett for the Steelers was concussed last week and is...

All Things 2022 Minnesota High School Football Thread

Forest Lake lost 31-17 to a mid-tier SSC team, Lakeville North and Stillwater lost 35-14 to EP. The South Suburban Conference is a beast. Right now they've had the growth, have the numbers, have the money (off season training, ETS, etc.)

All Things 2022 Minnesota High School Football Thread

I've seen most of these teams this year, as my kids go to a SSC school. I'd take Prior Lake and Shakopee off that list. Don't know anything about MG, but my top three SSC teams: 1) Rosemount 2) LS/EP toss up.

    Bands/Artists From Minnesota!

I always liked the Replacements more "poppy" songs, and actually liked the stuff Westerberg put out after the 'Mats. A few of my favorite:

Angela Lansbury, 'Murder, She Wrote' and 'Beauty and the Beast' star, dies at 96

When I was a kid I watched every Sunday with my mom. It was her favorite show and it kind of became our thing. When I see that it's on one of those weird channels I usually put it on for a while for sentimental reasons.

    Running Back

They tried Potts to the outside a few times, but they were well diagnosed and he didn't have the speed to beat the DB. I'd much prefer Williams on the quick hitter/one cut runs. He has shown he can be successful on them, eg. his big runs at Wisconsin and last year vs. Nebraska to seal the...

    Mo in the NFL?

Also had one of the greatest runs in Vikings history. 1999 at Denver, I believe. it was like 3rd and 24 from very deep in our own end and he picked it up on a draw play. edit: it was 3rd and 37. NFL copyright prohibited me from linking it, but you can find it on YouTube by searching 'Leroy...

What grade would you give Tanner Morgan in the Big Ten opener?

Easiest a+ I've seen in a long time. With the way we run the ball, Morgan playing like he did today makes us unstoppable. In complete control, able to identify the defense/coverage, make the correct read and deliver an accurate pass. Huge shoutout to the OL for giving him time and space...

Which team stat is your favorite from todays game?

Not on the list, but Mo Breaking the all time Gopher TD record, and recording his 13th consecutive 100 yard game. Not official, but before the last TD drive against the 2's, total yards were 508-160.

    Coach Fleck

Hard not to when we rolled into several games with 35 scholarship players. Every team had issues, just a messed up year.

    Mo in the NFL?

Lack of breakaway speed and not being a proven pass catcher will push him to the 5th or 6th round. I could see him having a Leroy Hoard like career. Amazing college back. So fun to watch. 23 Rb's were taken in the last draft, 0 in the first round.

    Coach Fleck

If you take out the crap Covid year, he's 24-6 the last three seasons. 14-5 in the Big Ten.

    Getting Something That’s 5 lbs?

I think it has to do with the fact that I've often been hungry, but rarely have been starving.

Predict the Score Thread: Minnesota at Michigan State

our defense last year gave up 26 to Miami (OH), 23 to Nebraska and 27 to Iowa. Michigan St. has a much better offense than those three did.

Predict the Score Thread: Minnesota at Michigan State

Love the optimism. This is a huge road game with massive implications. Looking back over the past several seasons to see how we've performed under similar situations doesn't give us a lot of examples, other than the games at Iowa. They stack the box and our passing game fails to capitalize...
