    I will bet anyone here...

No. But it's as good as it has been.

It may not be fine but isn't been better than this for decades under ten coaches.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN WRIGLEY FIELD IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Gophers should hire a recruiter and coach from UNW. Once a bottom team, now quite up from that. What did they do? Who do they recruit to come to a sorta urban area?

Fire Coyle, Fire Fleck! Rip the Band-Aid off!!!

The last time the Gophers were nationally prominent was in the early 60s. Since then 10 coaches have tried to get them back. Not sure the reason it has been so difficult is coaching.

IF we finish with only 6 wins....

If true, why did the admin dowplay athletics in 61? What changed in 61?

    The Portal and the xDSU’s

I'd be interested in seeing the recruiting template for the Gophers. How do we sell the Gophers program to recruits? How to we respond to objections to being UM students? How to we keep improving the pitch?

If the blue bloods left for a "super league", who would be hurt more, them or the also-rans like us?

I don't think either group would be hurt. The big guys would get a train load of money and the student-athlete schools would enjoy more competitive games. But maybe I don't understand this strings question.

    And how many pre-Fleck?

Gophers Fleck on closing the gap against top teams: "...Just because you want that doesn't mean that's going to happen."

Yes, 2019 was uplifting. We'll probably see another year like that some day. Tough to get there regularly. Re NIL, Minnesota sports money has many pots to fill. High dilution factor.

    QB Flip Possibility

    Or if he transfers

This might be as good as it gets for football

I think that's a reasonable evaluation and expectation. Re NIL, the Gophers were a 6 to 8 wins/year team before NIL was adopted.

Two Schools Are Reportedly Considering Leaving The Big Ten

TV pays for games because fans watch them. If fans don't like the product and don't watch, TV money will dry up.

If fans don't watch games on TV, TV money will dry up.

Two Schools Are Reportedly Considering Leaving The Big Ten

I don't get this. The money comes from the fans. How can a business earn more by mistreating the source of its income?

Two Schools Are Reportedly Considering Leaving The Big Ten

An interesting thought. Why do you wish this?
