    All Things Movie/Documentary Reviews/Recommendations Thread

Over the past week I have seen a pair of biopic movies which I think are quite worthwhile (good not necessarily great), but given the stars associated and the budgets involved, I think they are going to both be deemed as failures if not full on Box Office Flops. That's a shame. The Smashing...

While I was not part of the fire & brimstone brigade on the Wentz decision, nor saw anything unethical, I still don't see what the point of leaving him in there when they were down 21 in the 4th Q, 12 minutes to go. At that juncture the humane decision would have been to throw Brosmer out there...

    Scoggins/Kill Article

As far as the mitigation with Fleck struggling with Iowa is a definite demerit. Kill still has more Floyd of Rosedale victories than PJ. Staggering it's been more than a decade since a Bank crowd has been able to celebrate such a win. I don't disagree Fleck is better, but even a full notch to...

Back in 5A, I imagine that Mayo can do some damage. I found out what the deal with the moving was about. Sec 1 4-A booked their Championship game there. Why Mayo would do that when they could be playing a game at the same site seems quite puzzling. As it stands it will be a Double Header at...

Let the music play - new Concert Reviews/Experiences

These past 2 weekends Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit celebrated their 10th Anniversary of Ryman Auditorium Residencies. Having gone to see a show last year I made it a point to take some in this year as well to see at least a couple of gigs, so tickets were purchased for Thur & Fri. I was spared...

I specifically said 6 "Wild Card" Teams since 2022 (2021 Regular Season), not Division Winners. Indeed there have been additional teams with 9 or less Ws to make the Playoffs. I excluded those entrants. I agree it will take more than 9 W to take the NFC North. I didn't say otherwise.

Here's a charming video clip of ol' Denton at age 88. Also includes Art Carney. It you stick with it to the end some factoids that help with the Grid.

All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

In the last 4 seasons there have been 6 teams that qualified for the NFL Playoffs as a Wild Card with only 9 wins. 4 had 8 Ls and 2 more had 7 Ls plus a Tie. The now 7 Teams per Conference lends itself to that being more possible for the Post-Season Tournament.

Even if they are back, they could get hurt again as could any of the remaining QBs/key players on the slate. Stuff happens.

You have already thrown doubt in there by saying the Baltimore & Washington QBs "could" be healthy. That means there is a solid change they are not. Plus both contests are at the Zygi Dome. Things change in the NFL week-to-week, even if one agrees that their odds of finishing in the bottom 10...

I'm not jumping to the conclusion that this is a "lost" season just yet. The Vikings are only 1 game back in the L Column for a Wild Card.
