    Nebraska Game

Outside of the Emmett Johnson talk it seems like some think we’ll need to get extremely lucky to win this game. To be fair to Evans I think he suffered some injuries but he did appear to be promising at one point. It’s easy to see why we didn’t take him, and I think it is still debatable how...

Video: P.J. Fleck is BEST Minnesota Gophers coach in 75 years!

The new stadium… please, everyone was/is getting new stadiums, it doesn’t create the recruiting explosion that people keep throwing out there. Brew recruited well because he was a good recruiter, Kill wasn’t so he didn’t, they both had the benefit of a new stadium.

15 years ago today, Tim Brewster was fired.

I think Brew actually had a lot more momentum going toward elevating the program at one point than I ever felt with Kill. The hype and improvement on the recruiting front was real. The merry go round of coordinators leading to the inability to sustain success on the field caused the fire to...

Cignetti Extended At IU - 8 Yrs, $93M

Are people crapping on him? He seems like an asshole so I get why people don’t like him. I don’t see the problem with some being skeptical of if Indiana is here to stay among the B1G elite. I think 99% are impressed with what he has done so far and the speed at which he did it even if some...

    Nebraska Game

Stop acting like we aren’t talented enough to play with Nebraska. We didn’t take Johnson probably because we still had Thomas, Irving and Mo at that point and we only took one rb in that class, Zach Evans.

Cignetti Extended At IU - 8 Yrs, $93M

Baylor and Nebraska were not very difficult places to show improvement at. Nebraska is still no where near competing for a conference title. PSU doesn’t need a rebuild, it’s trying to get to that last level of excellence, right now they are a rung below it…well aside from this season.

Fleck and Virginia Tech? Says small chance... but worth noting

I think Wisconsin is the B1G comp. No real winning tradition until the 90s, consistently good for three decades, and now floundering again.

Cignetti Extended At IU - 8 Yrs, $93M

Good question, obviously everything changed with NIL. I wonder if the basketball program going to shit (not gopher level shit, but by Hoosier standards) had anything to do with it.

Fleck and Virginia Tech? Says small chance... but worth noting

The price to hire Fleck seems like it would be a deterrent for most programs. His resume probably isn’t what the elite programs that can afford him are looking for at this point.

People still don’t think they are dumping more money into their football program than us?

    Early line: Nebraska -5.5

I agree, other than the QB none of their players are household names.

Is Our D Coaching Brutally Bad At Times?

To me there still is plenty of talent. The big change was not in the talent level, it was the coordinator. He has to figure things out. The only returning defensive player that’s playing at a higher level seems to be Anthony Smith, so to me it’s a coaching issue, I’m not giving up on DC, but...

    I see 2 more wins

People’s perspectives are so out of whack they wouldn’t even appreciate 8 wins.

Has Carrier played much this season?

    Curt Cignetti

I think the quick turnarounds are going to be more common. But I think we’ll see a lot of quick flashes that burn out. See Sonny Dykes at TCU for example, Sanders at Colorado.

What did he do that Sanders did?

    Curt Cignetti

I think he will need to start recruiting better to keep this thing going, current class is no better than ours really on paper.

Well it’s happened one time ever where stars aligned. Indiana is an anomaly and we are the norm.

They weren’t all amazing but a handful were extremely good.

This Gophers team is worse than last year. Next year's team will be better. Agree or disagree?

I didn’t say it’s what sparked anything, but it sure seems like they have more resources. We didn’t have resources to keep Bucky, they brought in former Maryland starting rb. We brought in under the radar Brosmer, they brought in high profile Mendoza. They pay to keep their coordinators, we...
