I noticed Jalen Berger is playing for UCLA, he played two years for Wisconsin, 2 for MSU and now is in his second year with UCLA.

MSU is and has been bad so is Wisconsin, people seem to think they are just temporarily down and always expecting them to bounce back in a year. It’s going to take years before either is good again, and even longer to be consistently good again.

Those programs recruit well because of winning and money. It’s not because of the coaches. Oregon has access to a lot of California talent. Madison doesn’t consistently recruit that great even at their peak and Nebraska isn’t recruiting that well these days either.

Could’ve is different than should’ve. You can’t say he should’ve pulled out a win every time he goes up against a team of similar talent and capabilities.

Essentially we’d be a playoff team every year if we did that.

We were 2-3 at this point last year with a tougher looking schedule ahead. I think this year’s team is a little less talented overall, but not massively so. With what could be a potentially more favorable schedule might end up with the same or better record.
