Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I'm not really arguing it should be ignored. I'm not a Mel Kiper type and think it's some great injustice that Shadeur didn't get drafted. If he's an ass in interviews leading up to the draft, I can definitely see why teams don't want that distraction on their football team. With QBs, it's...

He took money to be a Badger.

Kansas has received an unprecedented $300 million gift from donor David Booth, believed to be among largest single gifts in history of college sports

Couldn't you make that argument with just about any luxury purchase? Why buy a $15 million home on Lake Minnetonka when you can buy a really nice $2 million home and give the rest to St. Jude? I know there are people who do that and they should be commended. However, I don't see how large...

Marcus Fuller moving from Gophers beat to high school coverage

I can't remember her name (and maybe it was football), but there was a female reporter who pretty much copy and pasted threads from Gopherhole. This was probably 10 years ago.

Shooter: Medved called University of St. Thomas officials, offering to play the Tommies in the first game of their new arena this fall.

People in Minnesota (ie Gopher fans) are much more familiar with St. Thomas than Gardner-Webb. But yeah, there have been programs that took awful stances before. I don't know if it really helps our decision for not playing St. Thomas by saying other programs have done it too, "Kentucky didn't...

Shooter: Add the Phoenix Suns to the Detroit Pistons as potential teams for Johnson’s next employment.

But the joke actually has a decent second act because it pisses off the ole Ben Johnson apologist crew.

What Should I Expect This Season?

I don't think anyone expects any coach at the U to make the tournament 8 out of every 10 seasons. That coach would get a statue in Dinkytown. Hell, if a coach made the tournament every other season here, he'd be beloved. That standard is quite attainable (for just an average program). Below...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I think there is a tendency to look at all character issues the same. Baker Mayfield was cocky but the guy has always loved football and his teammateJams have always loved him. Manziel never gave a sh!t about football. Manziel is closer to Jamarcus Russell than he is Baker. I don't bring...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

It's not that I disagree with anything you posted but I've seen guys with much more serious character flaws (and less talent) get drafter higher than Sanders. You wanna draft Jaxon Dart in front of him? Ok. You want to draft Gabriel or Shough ahead of him? I just don't get it. If Sanders turns...

Reusse: Timberwolves owners’ plan for development around a new arena seems like a very suburban idea

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think anything south of 394, we're talking about like a 5-10 minute difference without traffic. When factoring in traffic (depending on how the new facility would look), it might be less. I haven't lived in Minnesota for awhile now, but isn't the open land in Eagan...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I just don't see that with him. I think his biggest problem is going to be taking sacks (not from doing anything too outrageous) and that he'll be a dink and dunker. It's hard to be a guy who takes big losses who doesn't stretch the defense. In some ways, I see him more as a worse version of...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

He also torched some really good teams with an awful OL and zero RB. Football wise, he's a unique prospect. He seems to have an an average arm, he's accurate but he holds the ball a really long time. That is a much more difficult thing to fix than people realize. I'll say this, he is better...

Shooter: Medved called University of St. Thomas officials, offering to play the Tommies in the first game of their new arena this fall.

Unfortunately for some Gopher fans, that board was not able to save them from the 4-5 threads per year about UST basketball because someone posted this thread here. It's clogging up all the traffic and making it harder for me to find the Dame Lillard/Webber State thread - you know the stuff...

The new UST cope is to pretend that they are the ones avoiding us. LOL We better think about moving this to the UST board before there is any pushback on that narrative.

    Brosmer in Vikings Game

For me, Paul Allen would have been good back in the day on Sportscenter doing color on the highlights but he is tough to listen to for an entire game.

The time has come... move the band

If you go to an SEC baseball game, the outfield is often a massive party (BYOB), standing room tickets, people are playing flip cup while the game is going on, etc. It's not an awful idea to do something like that for football games.

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

Trey Lance is a zero chance (IMO). If they go get a QB, it'll be someone that isn't a development guy, it'll be someone KOC trusts can pick up the playbook and make the right decisions.
