There was a period of about 10 years in the 1970's when Bloomington had 3 high schools. Enrollment, finances, and demographics can change rapidly. Perhaps we may at some point go back to the Bloomington Bears. The city is land locked for growth but it still may be just to big for one high school.

The Robbinsdale school district wants to close Armstrong and Cooper high schools because of declining enrollment and a growing deficit. Mankato East finally beats Mankato West for the first time in 19 years during the regular season to win the jug. The score was 28-7. West did lose their star QB to injury in the 1st qtr. East beat West in the playoffs last year. I believe East is one of the best teams in 4A.
