All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

For everybody clamoring for IOL help, pickings are likely to be a bit slim. If they want to take a guard at 24, there are only two highly ranked guards in the draft. As far as free agents, there are a couple of bigger names that are old, and then a bunch of Dalton Risner-level guys. Will...

He's been playing well on punt blocking. I'm mostly joking as he's still very young. However, he seems tailor made for Flores' defensive scheme, so I am a bit concerned he didn't flash a bit more this year.

The three biggest games of KOC's career (Playoffs vs. Daniel freakin' Jones, Playoffs vs. Rams, Week 18 vs. Lions): 0-3, outscored 85-42.

Danny Collins to DC per RB

With the Gophers not having a big-bucks OC to pay, plus the Heatherman buyout, plus the additional assistant coach money pool for 2025, PJ could go after a reasonably established coach. On the flip side, if Collins hits it out of the park, one would hope we have a decent chance of keeping him...

All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

This one is so bad it requires it's own note. I'd say his performance/repeated injuries were one of the most perfect examples of karma, but with his $230MM contract, I'm not sure that necessarily applies. Dude's crying all the way to the bank. I do wonder how much he had to pay out to the 23...

End of the third, and not looking good. It’s starting to feel like they need the D to step up and make a big play. KOC, Darnold, Reichert all having their worst games of the year.

I would love for that to happen and get a really dynamic RB, but it ain’t happening. Only 1 first rounder, hopefully a 3rd compensatory pick and then a fifth. Too many needs at DT, CB, IOL to draft a RB that high. Unless KAM can work his magic in free agency and fill those needs. If they could...

Bradbury is under contract for one more year, although his dead cap is low ($2.5MM if memory serves). I looked at the free agent class at C/G as well as draft grades, and woof. Not a good year to be looking for interior OL. 2 guards and 1 center ranked high enough to take in the top 2 rounds.

Maybe he was the one who was standing in for PJ during his eye removal surgery.

The NCAA is considering allowing five years of eligibility for players in all sports moving forward, per an NCAA official.

I'm willing to bet Maxx Williams could still ball at the college level. Come back and we'll add another "x" to your name in appreciation Maxxx! NIL dollars are waiting!

Pros and Cons with the new playoff system

Watching teams win the Sugar Bowl/Rose Bowl/etc. and having a big celebration with confetti and a big ceremony, only to have to play in the Cotton Bowl or Orange Bowl and have the same thing happen a week later is really dumb IMO. Maybe this is a minor thing that I'm overreacting to, but the...

Was thinking the same exact thing. Wouldn't mind a number of dinks picking the Turkeys to win.

Current get-in prices for the quarterfinals on @StubHub. Rose: $170 Fiesta: $40 Sugar: $33 Peach: $16

The “get in” pricing is always deceiving, as they always reference resale sites that have crazy high fees that are conveniently not included.

Watson can't stay healthy and Williams has been a constant headache. I fully agree with you on the ineptness of that draft, but I don't want either one of those dudes.

    Fantasy Sports Talk

This was my 9-year old's first fantasy team. I helped guide him on when to pick positions, general strategy, etc during the draft, but every player was his choice. Then during the season, I kept on top of injuries and poor performances, but he picked all the replacements. He scored the most...

The somewhat interesting thing about GB (specifically offense) is almost all of their pass catchers have been in the NFL 2-3 years. I thought they weren't as good at drafting, as none of them are really "elite", but they all are decent. This may be to their advantage. If you look at their stats...

    WR Malachi Coleman Commits

Agreed. In the new age of college football, you get him in, if he doesn’t buy into the program and put in the effort, you show him the door next offseason. Very low risk. As far as Wright, while he didn’t live up to the hype, he did some nice things and was still worth the scholly he was taking up.
