Analysis of Minnesota’s chances against Ohio State

I covered this a couple of months ago, if Mo doesn't go down, we score on that drive and there isn't a 14 point swing in OSUs favor following a subsequent turnover. We had them reeling and were in position to take that game. Mo's injury sucked the wind out of the stadium.

By the halftime mark of the game, I thought a bowl game might be out of the question..

I'd say greater than 70% of people aren't man enough to admit when they're wrong and either double down on their bullshit or pretend it never happened. Back in the day, maybe there was some more humility. That just isn't a thing anymore.

They deserve to always be the bridesmaid but never the bride after Sandusky. I still hate that program. Should've been bombed to oblivion like SMU.

    Greg Harbaugh: Coaching MVP

You must've been absent from the in-game thread lol. That being said, I don't know enough about the intricacies of playcalling but if you have a freshman qb who went 31/41 with 3 TDs against a P4 opponent with a solid team and established coaching staff, you called an amazing pass game and are...

What grade would you give the Gophers coaches in win over Rutgers?

I'm in the Corcoran area today visiting family. How can you be such a miserable shit after a win living in this nice area?

What grade would you give the Gophers coaches in win over Rutgers?

Conference win, can't be less than a B. Harbaugh gave Drake a lot of nice options and he took an opportunity and let er rip. Collins and the D need to clean up the run defense

    oops -- wrong forum

This thread criticized PJ for making comments about its kid and it backfired miserably

By the halftime mark of the game, I thought a bowl game might be out of the question..

I really value people who can come back from an extreme response with their head down and take ownership (especially on an anonymousmessage board), it's an uncommon trait that used to be more common among society. Hats off to you, man.

Don't suppose there is a need for a "Who is your player of the game?" thread

The question is, does this qb performance stand somewhere in the Gopher top 10 list? Kid sliced and diced them for better than 75%. It wasn't an important game for the team by historical standards but based on individual performance this was A+.

YES YES YES!!! Post Game Thread: Gophers Get Big Win Over Rutgers!

Let the kid cook. We need to enjoy him while we can because the helmet schools are definitely going to come sniffing around.

They adjusted. Great job by the players and the staff. On to OSU.

Harbaugh called a good drive, though you won't get any of the detractors to admit it.

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA ATHAN’S DAD RETURN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Iowa second half last year was far worse, I was ready to throw the towel in on PJ. That was an abomination. Just a lot of knee-jerk reactions going on in the thread right now. Long season ahead of us, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing the team and coaches need to figure it out and quick.

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA ATHAN’S DAD RETURN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I do enjoy how many people are ready to throw the towel in after one half of the first conference game of the season. Last year was far worse, this isn't the spectacular meltdown that was the second half of the Iowa game last year. This is ugly but still very salvageable.

Another half to go. Either we make the right adjustments or Rutgers starts to run away with this one. This game is extremely winnable, Athan is not a good qb.

Athan's dad comments on Fleck's press conference - by Andy Greder

Not sure if this helps or hurts your point, but Kyle Monangai accounted for 116.3 of those yards (rushing) per game in 2024 for Rutgers. DT gave us 80.5 (again, rushing). The teams were far closer.

So where we all at 3 games in?

I think they come out strong and come Saturday night hope is renewed for a lot of the fanbase

Fleck: “We were 1-0 in the bye week. We used it perfectly. Whether that’s fundamentals, details, techniques, reflection, self-scouting..."
