Not really a classic clothesline because he didn't get his arm up right on the returner's neck. Still a fun play.

    Fame Ijeboi and Grant Washington

Hard to tell given the level of competition (and the fact I didn't see the second half so I missed Washington), but I really liked what I saw from Ijeboi. Ijeboi looks like a downhill runner who should be tough inside the tackles. Good burst. On a side note, I liked the fact that all the RBs...

Who is your Gophers MVP in the win over NW St?

As others have written, the scheduler takes home the imaginery MVP trophy.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Crush NW St

Really difficult to tell from the level of competition, but Ijehoi looked good. Didn't see the second half, but looking at the box score it was good to see how many guys got into the game.

***OFFICIAL NORTHWESTERN STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

There was quite a bit of air under that ball. Better safety would have recovered to break it up. That said, it's pretty obvious Lindsey has a huge arm.

Why am I watching Penn State/FIU on B1G network when it says Minnesota v. NW La.?

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

That's likely true, as the social environment in Minneapolis has become more progressive. That said, there still exists a more quiet version of racism that exists, even among progressives. Check the open enrollment statistics after Minneapolis schools changed their attendance boundaries and a...

    Short Ornery Norwegian...

I will check with the alumni association. Augsburg homecoming is in early-October and I will be over there for my 50th reunion. SON was a couple of years behind me, but there may be some who have heard. SON is a great guy and can be quite a character. After I graduated, I worked the Lutheran...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Oh, these kids and their rock and roll. I probably overstated my inability to recognize recently-recorded material, but I listen to KBEM-Jazz 88 pretty much around the clock (and there is some newer music there) and don't keep up with what is happening on the airwaves and airpods. Ask me...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Some good points here, but (and I have inherited wealth that I can't currently access due to its being in an LLC) just because we don't need it doesn't mean we don't have it and unless we blow it all or the economy totally tanks it will again be passed down again. The inability to produce...

I think Jordan Hudson can probably tackle better than half of the guys on the UNC defense.

Don't worry. I can probably recognize less than a dozen songs recorded after 2000.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I'm in the my 70s and agree. Was Doug Williams the first notable black QB? I'm pretty sure he was the first black QB to be drafted in the first round and the first black QB to win a Super Bowl and that was in the late-1970s through the late-1980s. Great player.

Also Leftwich and McNair (and I know I'm missing some). Two African-American QBs were drafted before Sanders: Ward (1/1) and Milroe (3/92). I don't think Sanders' fall had anything to do with race. He didn't workout at the combine and supposedly didn't interview well (I say "supposedly"...

It's a clumsy comparison, but I saw Saban as the football equivalent of John Wooden. Both had a ton of resources and the attention of every top-drawer recruit in the country, but they changed their styles as the game itself changed instead of clinging to a single system. Saban has become a bit...

Castellanos has put up great stats in the past, but can be erratic. He is a headache for defenses because he's so quick and has pretty good instincts as to when to tuck and run. You really can't put a "spy" on him because you may end up wasting the guy given Castellanos elusiveness.

First half of the first game and all, but the way he's looked the only way he gets the Heisman is if he either saves up enough box-tops or the Manning family buys it for him. I'm surprised how poor his form is. tOSU defense is extremely good, but Manning looks like he's just winging it.

    Week One: Offensive Line

I wonder if this is in the cards at some point. Ray and Marshall are both done after this year and I would think they would want to get positive experience for younger players, especially one as highly-rated as Tafai.
