    This is a fireable offense

9 years in and we still have posters who are longing for the Kill/Claeys days to return.... No real point trying to reason with anyone who wants to pretend Fleck inherited a team on the verge of becoming a contender because they won 9 games in 2016 under an interim coach.

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

Have heard Jamis Winston and Derek Carr floated as possibilities but yeah, the pickings are slim unless they want to go out and make a big time deal which would seem unlikely unless they intend to give up on JJ. Given that it is Wednesday and nothing has happened Max would seem to be locked in...

    This is a fireable offense

MZBKA1 found my ignore list a long time ago and I have never regretted that decision. :)

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

That and if you believe JJ is the future (even if this year ends up being mostly wasted) you aren't going to go out and make a trade for a QB who is likely going to cost a lot of money to get or retain. Reality is that are right on that edge of being out of playoff contention but the NFC looks...

The difference in the last two weeks.

He spent most of the game on the sideline in sweatpants.....so.....

    We stink.

It is tough because the college football landscape has changed so drastically in the last few years. I probably lean towards Illinois in that scenario due to the Rose Bowl and because Indiana's CFP appearance was one and done and not competitive. The only thing that gives me a little pause is...

Make the CFP but don't win it.

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I think #2 is going to be changing quite a bit in the coming years as players get paid more and more. When they were amateur athletes I can see protecting them some but they are starting to become more and more like pro athletes with each passing law suit.

The difference in the last two weeks.

Agree.....we definitely didn't execute well but I don't get where this idea of playing scared is coming from.

    We stink.

Makes for an interesting discussion. Would you prefer a couple great years mixed in with a lot of bad years, or to never be great but also avoid those brutal years..... Let's say after this year Cignetti leaves and Indiana falls back down to where they have been for most of the past few...

    We stink.

Illinois and Indiana were definitely both better then us last year. Indiana is again, not so sure about Illinois, they probably are but not by much. I just think when talking about one program lapping another to me that involves a wider window of time then just the current year or the year...

    Gophers open -4.5 vs MSU

Honestly not sure how anyone could have any confidence at all placing a bet on a game between these two teams right now. Little surprised the line is shrinking though given that we are at home.

    Michigan State Game.

Can't take anything for granted but this is one we should win....if we play well. Drake has had an up and down year (expected for a freshman) but has been much better overall at home so hopefully getting back home against a weaker opponent will help him have a strong performance.

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I don't think anyone that truly understands football would ever try to float the idea it is all on the players or all on the coaches. But it does seem in general that posters are far quicker to blame the coaches after a loss even though it is the players that ultimately have to make the plays.

    We stink.

When exactly did Illinois lap us? During Fleck's time here we have been as good or better then them in most seasons. As for Indiana - Outside of these past 2 seasons and the covid year that program has been mostly garbage for decades. It is frustrating that a program like that seems to have...

PJ Fleck press conference ahead of Michigan State

So are you watching a different press conference because I don't think there was a single question in there about the offensive line.

    Darius Taylor

We have 4 left not 3 before a potential bowl game. I don't think they will worry too much about a redshirt, if they feel like the freshman are their best options they will play them.

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Tons of blame to go around after a performance like Saturday. Coaches, players.....everyone could have done better. In the end though it is the players that make the plays. Drake had a bad game, it was one of the first where he has truly looked like the Freshman QB that he is. Loss of course...

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

Yep....sure they will give JJ every opportunity to succeed but Max will be one snap away from getting legit crack at the starting job should JJ get hurt again. Sure they might explore options for a veteran QB they can bring in but there isn't going to be much out there of any quality and with...

AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

They go hand in hand but if Drake makes a bad decision and throws into double or triple coverage leading to an interception, he 100% wasn't coached to do that.
