    Malachi Coleman

Surprised Dylan Wright's name has not come up yet in this thread. He was a guy who had all the physical tools but never seemed to be able to put it together at any of the schools he played for (Texas A&M, Minnesota, TCU). Hopefully Colemen doesn't end up going that route but just proves that...

Chip: Drake Lindsey has been the team’s best player heading into Saturday’s trophy game at Iowa. That’s not an exaggeration.

Agree that college should do it like NFL and count sack yardage against passing stats because sacks happen on passing plays.

Can confirm your take on North.....their D is pretty good but their offense is a non-factor. As for upsets, highly doubt we see any in the 1/8, 2/7 matchups. Assume there could be some good games in the 3/6 and 4/5 matchups.

Chip: Drake Lindsey has been the team’s best player heading into Saturday’s trophy game at Iowa. That’s not an exaggeration.

Drake is definitely not playing like a redshirt freshman in his first season as a starter. His stats don't jump off the page but one thing he is doing a great job of is protecting the football. He rarely puts it up for grabs or makes those ill advised throws so many QBs make. Exciting to...

    Week 9 Other Games Thread

Not a great slate in the Big Ten this weekend. Guessing we see an end to the UCLA winning streak. Northwestern vs. Nebraska could be interesting just to see how the Huskers respond and to get another look at Northwestern before we play them in a few weeks. Illinois at Washington could be a...

    Malachi Coleman

They are pretty quick to remove guys from the roster when they are no longer part of the team and he is still on the roster. So if he isn't there I am sure there is a reason for it and wouldn't read too much into it.

    Brosmer is playing tonight…

It will be interesting to see how they handle things if/when JJ comes back and sucks or gets hurt again. Going to Wentz early made sense but at this point of the season it might be time to see what Max can do.

    Brosmer is playing tonight…

Assume the lapdog you are referring to is QB coach Josh McCown. They did catch those two in a couple of odd interactions given the way the game was going. https://www.vikings.com/team/coaches-roster/josh-mccown Wentz made the decision to go back to JJ next week an easy one but if he struggles...

    Malachi Coleman

Yep, playing time is earned. Coleman has the physical tools to be a difference maker, hopefully he is doing all the other things he needs to be doing to earn a bigger role in the offense. Feels like he is seeing the field more as the season progresses but it is tough to tell a lot of time with...

That all sounds good but that is a lot of money and time that school districts are not willing to invest.

I think a lot of coaches will. Has to be frustrating as hell to have the rules constantly changing.

    Gronowski Presser

Kind of disagree on the spy angle. Their passing game is subpar and without his long runs against PSU their offense would have been dead in the water. Best thing you can do is force them to have to put it in the air, chances are good he will put a few up for grabs.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Probably the craziest part about this is how it just came out of nowhere. Coaches make amazing money but I bet a lot of them would gladly give up a bunch of it to see some sort of stability reintroduced to college athletics.....whole system is a joke.

Minnesota @ Iowa 2025 - Floyd of Rosedale - Media Predictions

Drake has done a really good job protecting the football this year.....he needs to keep that up against an Iowa team that thrives on teams making mistakes. Play clean and you have a good shot of beating them, make mistakes and they will kill you nearly every time.

Can definitely see a case both ways. 32 teams, no bye games is cleanest for the division but it leads to the 1 seeds for sure and most of the 2 seeds having a de facto bye week against a team that really can't match-up with them at all.

Minnesota @ Iowa 2025 - Floyd of Rosedale - Media Predictions

Yeah, lot of posters focus in just on the W/L record for Fleck against Iowa and ignore how many of those games were extremely competitive where one or two breaks went against us and gave Iowa the W.

I know I can't wait for Rosemount's Friday matchup with Park a team that went 1-7 with lone win over Eastview. Tough balancing act though as I bet if you left it up to the players on the bad teams they would still want a shot at the upset as opposed to a meaningless game against another bad team.

Minnesota @ Iowa 2025 - Floyd of Rosedale - Media Predictions

Have they though? Beating Wisconsin and Penn State in back to back weeks sounds impressive but neither of those teams is what they have been traditionally. Wisconsin is down to their #3 QB and is a complete mess this year. Penn State is playing their backup QB, has an interim head coach and...

Video: P.J. Fleck preparing Gophers for hostile environment at Iowa [FULL]

Yeah, glad our string of night games is ending before this one. Kinnick is always tough but would much rather play a day game then a night game there.
