Ranking all 41 college football bowl game from worst to best (41. Quick Lane Bowl: Minnesota vs Bowling Green)

Iowa's offense is so bad they got demoted. Does this mean the B1G has to rework the schedule for 2024?

After Friday's 13-10 win at Nebraska, Kirk Ferentz was still upset about the invalid fair catch call on Cooper DeJean after replay (Oct. 21 vs. MN)

If the exact opposite happened Iowa fans and coaches would be praising the officials for getting the call right and Minnesota fans and coaches would be talking about how they got screwed.

Describe the Gophers loss to Badgers in 1 sentence

The Gophers didn't tackle well today but they made up for it by not blocking.

Just to be clear he's not bitching about the refs. He's actually very complementary of B1G officials which makes me question his judgement. He's bitching about the replay officials and the lack of clarity from the conference. He's also really hunting for a fine right now.

Week 13 Rivalry Week Other Games Thread

I would agree with this. I believe Wisconsin, NW, and Iowa State are the only teams they've played that currently have a winning record besides PSU. To their credit they only have 1 bad loss and when you avoid those you can stack a lot of wins. The Gophers would be 8-3 right now and going for...

    Koi Perich Commits to Gophers!!!!!!!!!

That would kill all non revenue sports at Minnesota and at all the other universities stupid enough to join them.

Impressive performance by NW's defense containing that high powered Purdue offense.

I wonder if Ryan will still call it cheating when it's Ohio State in the spotlight for stealing signs?

Shama: Voices Need to Speak up for College Football Parity

Of course they did. The previous system was working perfectly for them. NIL represented change and the possibility of other programs rising up and challenging the established programs. All it takes is a NIL sugar daddy or 2 willing to exchange money for program access to completely change a...

My take on the Gopher football team today

When it comes to finances it means everything. And college football is all about money.

    Iowa Defense

I agree here. Those 3 have been better overall this season. Iowa did hold up pretty well against the leading rusher in the B1G on Saturday. 39 yards on 13 carries. He had 159 yards on 24 carries vs Ohio State last week. Overall they've held every team on their B1G schedule to a point total...

Fleck post-game on KFAN on Purdue: They’re explosive, they’ve been explosive all year...

Making statements like Purdue being explosive really hurts credibility. Fleck is a good coach but sometimes you just have to admit you got smoked and move on. It really looks like Minnesota blew their wad against Iowa and haven't looked the same since. Even the MSU game was a struggle for 3...

To win Big Ten West, Gophers need Iowa to lose twice

Looking at the schedules and standings this morning I still think the Gophers are headed to Indianapolis. Very plausible scenario of 5 teams ending the season at 5-4 with Minnesota winning the tiebreaker.

End of the Kirk Ferentz Era Too?

I agree that their offense is designed to be physical, conservative, & run-oriented. But it isn't physical. It may have been in 2020 but that's the last time they could control teams at the LoS with any consistency. It is conservative so a big check there. Run oriented for sure if you count...

End of the Kirk Ferentz Era Too?

No it isn't. If you can't do something with any consistency I don't think you can call it your identity. Just because you want to be something doesn't mean it is. I want to be 6'5, 240, and ripped but that doesn't make it true. The fact is Iowa doesn't have an offensive identity because they...
