Video: P.J. Fleck is BEST Minnesota Gophers coach in 75 years!

The program has come so far...... This is the same argument for not firing Mason. It was time to fire Mason. It is not time to fire Fleck - Mason had reached his ceiling here and it wasn't changing. Fleck has consistently dribbled chances down his leg, so there is still potential upside. But...

    Big Ten Enterprises

The spending cuts hinted at in the spending problem is what's behind all of the non-revenue sports running political ads to save the olympic sports at the collegiate level. I think it's fair to assume the football and basketball players who have forced the issue to get a cut of the money...

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

The Rose, Orange, Sugar, Cotton, and Fiesta bowls still matter. Some of the lesser bowls that have long history - Citrus, Gator, Peach, Sun, and Holiday are all decent and well run. I remain curious to see how many of the others last in this new era.

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

more depressing than playing a VaTech team that was basically a Frosh/Soph squad that had no business being in a bowl? Hopefully with the portal shift to January, we'll avoid some of this, but I doubt it. The Bowls aren't what they used to be.

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

I went to the Music City Bowl when we beat #25 Arkansas in 2002. A good time if you get the chance. Nashivlle isn't the same city today (alot bigger) but still a good time. I wouldn't book the trip just yet. Not sure we'll avoid Detroit this year.

    Burrito Loco still open?

NEW as in we swapped out the original ingredients for cheaper substitutes, AND IMPROVED our bottom line.

    Identity of the Offense

Our offensive identiy is that we don't have an Oline so we've taken a throw sh!t against the wall and see what sticks approach to offense this year. Danny Collins has brought back the Robb Smith Matador defense, we don't do much well, we miss a lot of tackles, and hope wehn we get squeezed into...

Is Our D Coaching Brutally Bad At Times?

from bigten.org (https://bigten.org/fb/stats/?category=team§ion=all&teamValue=all&split=conf&season=2025) Bad? We won't know yet, but the numbers suggest we're not a great defense. We appear to be better against the run so far in conference, but I think that may be because we're worse against...

Sometimes, win you play not to lose, it works.

Summarize the Gophers win over Purdue in 1 sentence

If we were, we'd win more games. They came out without the same level of talent, and without hope. But they played their asses off, and ultimately created their own loss. If we played wtih similar effort and commitment to winning football games, we'd have a lot more wins under Fleck.

    Franklin Fired

They've done the try not to lose approach with Franklin. I can't see them hiring James Franklin-Lite to replace James Franklin.

"If Minnesota wants to entertain a modicum of hope, it must beat Nebraska."

Professional sports took over in Minnesota and the University took the bold step to say that college sports were growing too big and needed to be walked back (it's only leadership if others follow). Neither one of those things have benefitted the U.

    I see 2 more wins

Both wins. In very different fashion. Against Rutgers we buckled up, strapped in and played to win. It was ugly, but we got it done. Against Purdue, we played to not lose against a team that is completely rebuilding after a disasterous hire and almost biblical exodus off the roster after last...

Fleck after watching OSU film: "There's so much good in that film. It gets covered up by the score, but there's a lot of good to pull from that game."

I read it. I inferred more than was there. I agree with you, I don't think many people hate him. I have issues with how he performs his job, for sure, but hate never has crept into it for me. I don't even dislike him. I don't know him.

Fleck after watching OSU film: "There's so much good in that film. It gets covered up by the score, but there's a lot of good to pull from that game."

So, in your opinion, the only reason people have a problem with Fleck is because of Kill and Claeys? Serious question. If that's true, why does Fleck himself say (some might suggest boast) that he's not for everyone.
