I'd have said the same but volleyball may provide a map for what could happen in basketball. Last season, playing and beating St. Thomas was a season-long RPI drain for the Gophers. This season, the Tommies' plentiful wins are a huge RPI boost. (Not sure about crowd impact.)

Would be an improvement for sure. Alabama had a top 20 NET, Harvard a top 40 (like MN) and even South Florida was at least in the top 80.
