    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

The reality that NIL is more important than many were willing to admit is starting to set in.

    2025-2026 Revenue Sharing

So the B1G and the SEC basketball generates less than the Big East, sounds fishy to me, other alternative is that basketball is financing football revenue sharing costs which I find hard to believe, or non revenue sports in the B1G are getting more of the revenue sharing than they deserve.

Multiply by ten and double the attendance and you will be talking.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Monday, did not know that was in addition to NIL, no wonder kids want to stay around a bit longer, really going to become the wild wild west. If Judge Claudia Wilken approves the settlement as expected, then for the first time, schools will be allowed to share TV, ticket and other revenue to...

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Agree, he"s more of a scorer combo guard than a pg, I could see him playing with Assuma. He's got 4 years of eligibility, I'd take him.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

He's big and decent athleticism, skill wise he had a ways to go but if Crowl can play at Wisconsin Grove surely can find a role at Minnesota. I have to think he's got way more potential.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

I'm thinking there is going to be a waiting period until after the court case is decided and then things are going to be crazy.

Will any of Ben's recruits still play at MN?

Why, Thorson was an assistant at CS before coming to the Gophers.

    Richard Pitino on KFAN

Go watch films of the games, not much defense and give it to a guy like Carr and let him do his thing. That was about it, he got lucky with Coffey who had good coaching before he got to the U and was a really good player.

No thank you on that one.

Was firing Johnson the right decision by Coyle?

High probability there will be an influx of revenue sharing money, that could be a difference maker or at least an equilizer. Now is the time for a change and the chance improve the outlook.

Poll: Should Mark Coyle give Ben Johnson a 5th year?

Recruits like Johnson and coaches like Pitino could be worse.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Right or wrong that team was gutted, at many schools they would have played, not only White but Mbwake. The talent would have been there for a deep run in the tournament.

***OFFICIAL wisconsin AT MINNESOTA SENIOR NIGHT (JOHNSON'S LAST HOME GAME?) IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Winter was a miss, he was prioritised by Johnson and was thought to be a Gopher commit right up untill his late cycle visit to Wisonsin when he flipped to the Badgers.

***OFFICIAL wisconsin AT MINNESOTA SENIOR NIGHT (JOHNSON'S LAST HOME GAME?) IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That and the fifth foul on Mtchell. He had position and got backed in by I think it was Winter, they made all four free throws and both times it should have been Minnesota's ball. Rather than a 1 point deficit or maybe even a lead they are down 7.

You want a "magic number" for Gophers to hear name called on Selection Sunday? Go with 22

They were a very bad team that improved over time and started to turn it around in mid January. The rankings take the season as a whole and way under estimate a team's improvement.

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

From a strictly coaching perspective he is looking pretty good at this point. Based strictly on talent he probably should have one or two big ten wins and not seven. More to coaching at major D1 level though and the elite label would obviously be more than a stretch and because he has never been...

Agree, Utah basketball ruled in the past, state was crazy about them. Not sure how it is today though.

Ben Johnson Post-Game Following Northwestern Loss

I think I read that contracts might be part of the agreement, guys can sign the contract to play college ball or go elsewhere to continue their playing days. Everything is conjecture right now so who knows what the end result will be.

Ben Johnson Post-Game Following Northwestern Loss

If it works the way it's been proposed and schools can't load up on NIL outside of the revenue sharing plan without a cap then things should even out. Schools like Texas A&M won't be able to pay players any more the Minnesota without breaking rules and doing it under the table. There won't be...
