There are many factors that go into hamstring injuries. What a lot of people do not know is the glutes play a major role in those injuries. Those muscles must act as a key factor in preventing strains. If the glutes are tight, you are more prone to pulling or even tearing your hamstring...

You're right but it's way deeper than a good stretch. Because he's had this issue multiple times the unfortunate part is it's going to keep happening unless he takes care of his body. It's certain muscles that has to be worked on daily for the rest of his playing career in order to prevent it...

Whoever is responsible for making sure the players stretch properly is responsible for this. We've had way too many players out with soft tissue injuries. DT has basically had the same injury every time he's been hurt.

Is Our D Coaching Brutally Bad At Times?

I mentioned this earlier in the thread it was always about the scheme. A lot of people kept harping on talent and criticizing certain positions. I’m not saying we can’t improve talent wise, but great schemes like we saw last night can mask some of those flaws. We dominated that game with players...

Is Our D Coaching Brutally Bad At Times?

    Who was out that mattered?

This Gophers team is worse than last year. Next year's team will be better. Agree or disagree?

I agree with Gopherchase, it wouldn't have mattered. The score would have probably been the same or similar. Either way, we weren't going to win. I believe our biggest flaw is our DC play calling. I like Collins but the inexperience flaws are showing. I'm not sure if he's the guy or not but...

This Gophers team is worse than last year. Next year's team will be better. Agree or disagree?

Agree with most of what you said but the DL IMO is not the same. Last year DL was better than this years team. If a team needs 1 yard to get the 1st down it's damn near automatic on this years team. The CB room is obvious but I really like the talent we have in Nestor, Gerald, and Parrish. But...

Who is your Gophers MVP in the Homecoming win over Purdue?

Exactly my thoughts. I love Koi, but he did not have a great game outside of the pick six. Kerry Brown was all over the place, as he's been all year. It kills me how fans get so caught up in popularity versus actually stats. Brown hands down has been the most consistent player on the entire...

Predict the Score Thread: Purdue at Minnesota

At the game, and after watching the 1st quarter, I'm 100% convinced that our OL and DL 99.9% of the problem. At this rate we be lucky to make a Bowl game.

    Rewatching the Rutgers game

Everybody talking about poor tackling and yes that was an issue but a lot of it had to do with the package we were in. On 3rd and long we went to a dime package to play the pass which left holes in the defense. Yes, we missed tackling but mostly because of the position the player's was in based...

    Rewatching the Rutgers game

Bryan, got beat 9 out 10 passes so they replaced him with Gerald after Rutgers went up 14-0.

YES YES YES!!! Post Game Thread: Gophers Get Big Win Over Rutgers!

I agree, it feels like the only time we get aggressive with play calling is when we're behind and absolutely need to score. Start the game with your foot on the gas and keep it there.

Yes, but only on special teams. He was replaced by Mike Gerald.

Play Koi Perich and John Nestor at corner against Rutgers' tall receivers?

Hopefully Gerald is available this week for depth purposes.

Play Koi Perich and John Nestor at corner against Rutgers' tall receivers?

I don’t think it really matters who is at corner. They will probably get exposed at some point in this game. What is going to make the difference is strong safety play and throwing AK off with different looks. That will be the key to winning IMO. Koi, is not a corner. He's very good in open...
