Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

I also used to notice the future gophers I would see in high school being 1-2 inches shorter than their listed height. Then I remembered, I was 6' and they listed me as 6-2" in high school. They almost always measure you in shoes in high school, college, and it used to be that way in the NBA...

Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

I agree, I guess that's why I'm dumbfounded that there is a 6-9 built high schooler, that athletic, putting up those numbers and he's not ranked, and he's going to a mid major? Mid major's are usually one of three things: way undersized, under athletic for your position, or late bloomer...

NIKO Has Raised More NIL Money than ALL of Last Year

Corporate NIL didnt want to invest in the previous coach, and it also seems the previous coach didnt pursue that money. The game has changed in a short period of time, if a coach doesnt have a good product, and won't sell it to those companies, ala PJ Fleck, NIL won't be there at most schools.

    Nolan Groves

On a positive note from last year, having a 6-6 215 lb SF defensively was really nice (Femi Odukale). He could help down low, wasnt beat up on switches. When your frontcourt was Fox and Garcia, two finess types, he was important. It seems like we are always less physical than most big ten...

    Nolan Groves

When your Pg is 5-11 170, Mitchell 6-1 maybe 180 and christy was 6-6 185, you are undersized at all 3 positions. This effects end of games, setting picks, defense. The mid major guys were vastly small. Christy was a great recruit and maybe would have been coming off the bench on a better...

Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

Micah Curtis averaged 30 ppg and 10 rebounds, he had a high of 59 against Chaska I think. Those are some gaudy stats for an unranked 6-9 player.

    Dawson Garcia returning

I thought he had a lifetime pass! lol

Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

Park didn't have good guards, so they were the guards most of the game, but when they did post up or drive they were tough. I watched Thompson in person and he is 6-8/6-9 and maybe 210. He would have a hard time with their strength.

Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

I was just surprised they aren't more highly rated. Some might have to do with playing for an underseen program. Team was lost against teams like Wayzata and Hopkins. I also don't know if they wanted to play at the same college, if that affected any offers? If they are in fact 6-9 230lbs...

Hunter Dickenson just got a 7th year?

Curtis twins at St. Louis Park, how good are they?

Anyone see the Curtis Twins at St. Louis Park and wonder why they are going mid major to UND? 6-9 230lb guys who play some point guard, can shoot from distance, score inside. Athletic with College ready bodies. I've only seen them on youtube playing Wayzata and Hopkins.

    Chansey Willis Jr Commits

I also like his defensive potential, I like the 1.7 steals per game. We rarely have even 2 players average over a steal per game. Currently the favorite to lead the team in scoring over Reynolds and Durkin?

    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

Groves and Wagner are very similar players. Wagner is an inch or so taller and isn't a ball handler, played inside some at Totino anyway as a jr. Groves is a 2 in college, Wagner a 3, probably. Both are limited with lateral quickness on the defensive end. Not saying their offense and...

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

Fox is 220 and there were times we needed a 240lb player. There is plenty of time for other pieces to be added.

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

BJ was a volume scorer his 2 years at ND and his 4 games at Cal. Low 41% from 2, ugly low from 3-29%, but average from FT line 72%. With his length and athleticism, I would think he could do more on the defensive end then .9 blocks, .8 steals. 23-24 year he did average 16.7 and 4.2 rebounds...

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

If he plays the 5, we are in serious trouble. He was listed at 6-8 185 at CAL. Even with a year off to put on weight I doubt he is much over 200.

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

When I watched Cherry in the sectional final, I was told by someone who knows Isaac's parents that he got $200k NIL last year. If a college offered him $700k he would have left. I am guessing the gophers at least doubled his NIL to keep him. Other tidbits, his younger brother Noah, probably...

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

I got the number from the father of a Sr student manager. So could they be upset at losing players to schools that can play more. Is it possbile its $600k to $800k, and they are using the higher number to show that CSU cant pay that, sure.
