    2022 Revenge Tour

This will probably the toughest road schedule we’ve seen under Fleck. @PSU, @MSU, and @Wisconsin at the tail end of the season will be a major test.

The Ben Johnson Hire vs. Comparable Hires

I see a lot of similarities between us and ISU right now. The main difference is that Otz has head coaching experience and was able to get a higher level of talent in his first year. We should look at the Cyclones as a target for the Gophers’ near future. I have some ISU connections so they’re...

    Student section v MSU

I think the student section will stay solid through B1G play. There’s one thing that has always bothered me about the arena experience in the Barn. The team goes on a run, the crowd gets on their feet and gets loud, and then the opposing coach of course calls a time out. The pep band then plays...

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN STATE AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN OPENER IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Can’t be anything but optimistic about the near future with Ben. Hope these Minnesota high schoolers are taking note of how he has these guys playing.

UNOFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS MIGHIGAN STATE PRE-GAME THREAD!!!

Hopefully the sold-out season tickets for the student section pack the house tonight, though I worry that the impending finals week might have a negative impact.

    Court Rush?

The worst-ranked court rush I can remember is when we beat Purdue on Senior Night in 2019. They were #13, but the added factor of the win basically sealing a tournament bid for us and it being Senior Night made it well worth it.

    Court Rush?

It’s quite a stretch to call Mississippi State the worst SEC team. They’re projected to finish in the middle of the pack and be a borderline tournament team. Nice try though.

Fleck indicated Morgan will have to win the starting job next year. "There's always competition & there always will be competition...he's very aware"

After 2019, I was excited to have the same QB who could take more responsibility within the offense as he continued to gain experience. I was hoping PJ would trust him to start making adjustments on his own so we could move away from the “stare at the sideline with 5 seconds left on the play...

    SERIOUSLY????

Best way to sum it up: Pitino teams won with talent in spite of Pitino’s (lack of) coaching. This team is winning with a lack of deep talent by playing fundamentally sound basketball on both sides, which is driven by coaching.

PJ Targeting Ciarrocca for Return as OC?

2021 Gopher Football - The what if season

The Illinois loss matters FAR more than the BG loss. That being said, I don’t care right now. AXE BABY

    Mo is coming back!

I’m fine with Tanner returning just for his leadership presence, but there needs to be a clear QB competition in the off-season.

    Mo is coming back!

I know transfers are different now than just a few years ago, but if anyone can convince the young guys that it’s worth sticking around and waiting for your shot, it’s Mo.

    Who should be QB

The only argument I’ve seen for not playing Kramer more is that “teams will know that we’re running”. Well, teams can be pretty damn confident that we’re running regardless of who’s at QB. At least Kramer adds the possibility of the QB keeping the ball. Plus he’s proven he can throw the ball...

    Fleck

I often find myself comparing PJ to Matt Campbell at ISU. At the “eye test” level, I feel like they’ve had very similar resumes thus far. Both had successful seasons (MN 2019, ISU 2020). Both are touted for recruiting and culture. Neither can get over the hump with rivals (Campbell has never...

B1G WEST TITLE may be squandered away this season.

The common theme in games he’s been alright in is that the Gophers start well and can stick to the TOP game plan. He has yet to show that he can adjust to a defense that threatens that game plan.

Sanford has to be on notice

A sole consolation of this game would be if we could have a repeat of 2018 Robb Smith following the embarrassing defensive performance against Illinois. Then go ahead and repeat the beating Wisconsin part too :)

    Uniforms vs. Illinois

Gotta think my favorite combo (chrome-maroon-maroon) is being saved for the Wisconsin game. Chrome-white-maroon is easily my favorite road uniform though.

Big Ten West After Week 9

The Wisconsin game will be a very interesting TOP battle. This season, Minnesota has averaged 35 minutes and Wisconsin 34. Wisconsin gave us a taste of our own medicine in 2019 by dominating that stat. However, a big reason for Wisconsin’s offensive success in that game we’re that we were 110%...
