I actually think it would be the other way around. Basketball gets 15 and VB gets 12. She would probably need to be on a basketball scholarship. I believe there is one available.

I didn’t know where to post this, so I just started a new one. Maggie has entered the VB transfer portal. She seemed to be interested in Minnesota a few years back. I’m not sure if she still plans on playing both. She would be a great backup for Hart.

It’s fine to play teams like this…. For this team. It got others a lot of playing time. The season is long for starters who play a lot of minutes and for players who sit the bench. Now they get a break and then really get tested. Let’s go!

I also thought that was a covid thing….however if for some reason it’s not. I wouldn’t be surprised if she found minutes.

Ok that makes more sense now. Thanks. I do not think her HS team is very good. As a HS coach though idk how I feel about it. It will be nice for her to get some experience as I believe the Gophers will use her next season.

I agree, AJ is not there yet. Sophie is starting to look better and better though. Just glad they pulled it out!

I think Sophie is all around doing a nice job of knowing when to go up with the ball and when to kick out. The Gophers did not have that last year. Coaching or player idk but that is a noticeable difference for me!

That is actually crazy to me, since she was a top 100 kid. I’m guessing her build wouldn’t fit into all systems, but I’m very impressed with her!

I respectfully disagree, they are better shooters this year. Adding GG adds another legit 3 point shooter. Battle has improved her 3 point shot. Mara is just good. I believe they will make the tournament this year.

Johnson is ranked 61st in her class by ESPN….she is a scorer. I believe she will help. I also think McKinney and Klick could help with their nice length and ability to play defense. Lots to be excited for this year and the next few at least!

I was surprised Providence won that game…. They are more legit than I want them to be. Not good for 2A basketball…..they could win 5 years in a row…..

One thing that is becoming a little clearer is the rotation from the bench. They went 9 today but AJ only played 2 minutes. I believe they will only go 8 in close games. I’m actually glad they signed a couple of guards for next season. I see the Wisconsin kid taking over Saunders minutes.

Probably not what was drawn up, but I believe it was a good decision. She had the open drive. Just didn’t finish.
