I don't disagree with either of you, I too have noticed he seems prone to losing a game if he is off. When he is on though, it is almost a guaranteed win. Hopefully he gets settled into a zone down the stretch.

Goaltending is the one area of recruiting that has baffled me since Wilcox. With that being said, I have been very impressed with Close this year and really appreciate how calm he plays and always seems to be positionally sound. I have no issues with his performance this year.

Agreed, but he also appears to be playing with an intensity that wasn't always present during his time at the U. He certainly looks like he belongs in the NHL.

I ran into Ortiz last night, asked him about the transfer portal and he said he wanted to be closer to home. I thought he might have mentioned possibly ASU but it was loud so I'm not positive.

Not sure, but I don't hate the move. I think Lamb will turn out to be a nice player, but so far plays a bit of a timid game and gets pushed around a bit. I like the idea of having Kurth out there with 7 & 77

Didn't PJ have some game winning formula that included explosive plays? I thought it was something like if you do x,y, and z you will win 67% of the games. And explosive play margin was one of the factors. Seems to me like he understands the current team is not capable of winning the explosive...

Whatever the reason, whoever is calling the plays (and ultimately Fleck) doesn't trust the passing game. I can't even recall the last time we threw the ball when in the red zone. The DJ9 red zone INT (Purdue?) is the last red zone pass I can recall. That tells you all you need to know.
