Oh, I heard them say it... so can everyone else right here That's how you get teams like Breckenridge, OTC, Pelican Rapids, Underwood and several others traveling to Roseau

Oh, I misunderstood you. LOL why does the MNSHL schedule the way they do? because they do what they want i guess... I did here some schedule committee member on the Rady Shaver podcast state they are trying to get each team to 4-4 each year, which is laughable be cause most schools are going to...

The Last year they did. Its not a great opportunity though. Good class A teams don't generally match up well with the top AA teams. Now if it were hand picked the top couple teams play against each other I could see it, BUT this is how MNSHL does things 2024 Pillager schedule Regular Season...

Section 6 in class AA and A are both a gauntlet to get through as of the way things look right now. Section 6AA Staples-Motley last years runner up 6-0 Holdingford 6-0 Pillager 6-0 Osakis 5-1 All have played several teams in class AAA and have won handily in most games. Competitive balance...

Sad to hear that about Long Prairie. Here is my Small school rankings with some reasoning AA 1. JCC - Haven't played as stiff of competition as some but still have the best player in MN... 2. Holdingford - #1 in QRF by a large margin - many AAA teams on schedule 3. Staples-Motley - Crazy...

My point exactly. A quick look at the sections in class A. All section records are just at or just below .500. All within about 4 wins one way or another, except section 6. Section 6 is 29-19. Section 6 has a large geographic footprint and some teams are playing few section 6 games, but have a...

Just goes to show that the poll voters only pay attention to upper 2 classes... Filmore Central above Breckenridge is laughable when you compare schedules and QRF#s

And the high school league says this is safe, while having just a couple weeks prior say things like if the heat index, not the real temperature is above 85 degrees you can't practice or last week you were at a team camp playing real games but the 1st week of practice you can't wear pads...

Small school surprises last night Mountain Iron-Buhl crushed by Barnum 54-0 MIB was a highly ranked team Springfield squeaks out an OT victory over Sleepy Eye who was 1-4 coming into the game One thing I am noticing about the teams that had to make the 9man to 1A jump this year, is that they...

Section 6 in class A is pretty good this year. But #1Breckenridge will win this game by 3 scores minimum. Have watched both play, Breckenridge is legit with quality wins. #19LPA however had beaten some bad teams and lost to the one quality team they played in OTC. A better game in section 6...

Some big games in the small school classes tonight using QRF numbers as I saw that Nevis and Pine River have been in the others receiving votes in the polls and Both of those teams have have a pair of 40 point losses to teams in class A already so I don't think some of those voters are even...

A quick Google search and you can see the enrollment numbers, over 1300 in the district enrolled and 322 for MSHSL adjusted enrollment. Only one way to get into 2A and that's to ask to not be in 3A with those numbers

Im guessing you were joking, but you are probably right... and if that's the case its the first and only time that MSHSL has listened to a concern from class A, since the district scheduling has gone in to effect there are several class A teams playing 3 games a season vs class AA while they...

Those are the district and conference names, I'm convinced a t-shirt maker came up with these names that charges per word. Nobody knows or cares what conference they are in anymore nor do they have any rivals because of the re-districting all the time

From what I understand is you have to petition to start prior to labor day, and its a GPA decision. I think if your school GPA is under a certain threshold you are allowed to start earlier. I could be completely wrong but I have been told by more than one administrator that's how it works.

The best way to answer the "that's how we have always done it" people is by asking them if they still ride a horse into work... When you put it into terms that they can realize they are being ridiculous sometimes people are willing to look at new avenues to do things

Maybe, Maybe, maybe not. All sports could be pushed back 1 or 2 weeks, in the central part of MN the spring sports are already moving most of the 1st 2 weeks of games already, and then craming 4 and 5 games in per week. The MSHSL should also not think for 1 second how legion and babe Ruth...

Again we did it last year. It's MN in November, not January. Sure it will be cold. But the average temps on Thanksgiving which is 2 weeks after the last out door game is 34 degrees in st Cloud.
