I was saying just 12 or 16 bracket per class and that's it (ie. after regular season games, just skip to a 12 or 16 bracket). But your thing is probably more realistic, if it was ever going to happen. Much smaller step

    Ryan Burns was right

I can't tell jack from the stands. Did we do something different with the OL, or did they just play better?

I don't see why Brandel shouldn't be the starting center the rest of the season, with Kelly obviously out the rest of the year and needing to retire. He started for us last year. Just got beat out at guard, but I like him at center better than Jurgens

Rodgers won the game in the 2nd half for the Steelers. Looked quite good. Their D lost the game. I don't think anyone can deny that. Well anyway, carry on

There were posts in this thread about any QB could have won against the Bengals -- obviously proven not true now -- as well as that KOC was calling bad plays and that's why McCarthy did so poorly.

I'd like the whole everyone makes it thing to be killed off. Can do the top team from every section, so you get your statewide participation, then the next 4 or 8 are based on ranking, coaches vote, computer formula, whatever. With an everyone in bracket, every team in the state in except one...

Neal: Anderson Arena will be a game-changer for St. Thomas

Only "problem" (not really, just saying) is that building it like that sucks up more of the money for the exterior and design. You can see on the video above, that it is a very fine facility and a massive upgrade over what they had. But on an absolute scale, it is very Summit League, very much...

Cignetti Extended At IU - 8 Yrs, $93M

So, hat's off to Cig's agent. Leveraging this incredibly fortunate two year schedule run, and yes executing on winning a bunch of games you should win (as we know with Fleck by comparison, that's a nice thing to have), into a massive payday. By all means, take Cuban's money from his sudden...

Cignetti Extended At IU - 8 Yrs, $93M

Bold: the dirty secret is that Indiana hasn't really done that much. They only had two tough games in 2024, and split those, then weren't competitive against Notre Dame in the first round. Missed another loss by avoiding the Big Ten champ game (which they did not play either team in regular...

I posted this in another thread: About Rhule, not withstanding his debacle in NFL for the Panthers, everywhere he's been at college so far has had a fairly steep upward trajectory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Rhule#Head_coaching_record Carolina in 2020: was covid, they released Cam...

You mean five opted down, to get from 48 to 43? The enrollments are here, but naturally are not sorted in order: https://www.mshsl.org/sites/default/files/2025-02/csp_enrollments-by-alpha_2025-2026-and-2026-2027_0.pdf If I was less lazy I'm sure the numbers could be extracted and sorted by any...

Penn State fired a winning coach to find a great one. What does history say about that decision?

Penn State fired a winning coach to find a great one. What does history say about that decision?

You would think that they wouldn't pull this move unless they already had a firm, under the table committment from their target, Right? To me that says they were actually targeting Rhule all along and he gave them a yes under the table/off the record. While, of course, saying all the right...

    Nebraska Game

This could be a massive reach, but did attending Holy Angels have anything to do with it? I know Omaha has Creighton, so guessing some amount of Catholics down there, maybe one up here with HA connections was also a Neb booster? Like I said, a reach

Fleck and Virginia Tech? Says small chance... but worth noting

Beamer was a good coach. His DC for a lot of his success was a guy who played for him and was a VT lifer. (Still there in admin now) They almost reached the pinnacle in 1999 with Vick, lost the natty game to FSU. The Big East was easy. One or two big games a year. Then play in a bowl. ACC was...

Bengals are weak. I mean, yeah, they only lost 24-37 to Detroit, and now they beat the previously 4-1 Steelers. Hugely weak. Makes sense our win against them doesn't count. If only KOC would have chosen to call good, winning plays before! Instead of purposefully calling bad, losing plays! Argh!
