All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

We're gonna be OK guys. I have it on good authority that Rodgers is washed. No notes

It's the deferred and upcoming maintenance that's breaking their backs. It will cost a pretty penny to build a new building at a new site, but the accountants are trying to price it out on the 10-20 year scale. I think they're looking for a bailout

They have to save money just to dig out of debt. They aren't going to hire even more teachers than they already have now, at one building. If I'm wrong, fine I'm wrong. Just doesn't make sense to me, given the financial situation

There is actually quite a lot of wealth in West Bloomington. And East Bloomington is comparatively quite poor. That will also be a factor in preventing a city-wide merger.

It's tough for me to imagine academic benefits of increased class sizes. Again main problem being the district is financially broke ... how are they then going to turn around and say they're offering a brand new, expensive academic thing -- to make something up, say a new IB program -- while...

Have to think a good number of families would try to transfer out, if they do this. Takes away opportunities for kids on the lower end of the talent spectrum to participate and start. Not just sports, but activities as well. Probably also not going to be an exact 1:1 keeping of every teacher...

OK, so zero chance there! Minnetonka probably takes in kids though

As far as Bloomington goes, they just built brand new football stadiums at each high school. I don't think they're planning to consolidate any time soon.

Robbinsdale district only spears (for lack of aa better word) into Plymouth in a particular bit. https://education.mn.gov/mdeprod/groups/educ/documents/basic/mdaw/mdmy/~edisp/032998.pdf I have to wild guess a lot of folks who happen to land in that, living west of 169 try to get into MG or...

Who is a better QB, The Drake or Athan?

That's a good point. If he had played better there wouldn't have been a need for a transfer. Anyway, no use now ... we have had two better QB's last year and this year!

Who is a better QB, The Drake or Athan?

I think the actual thing is that AK and his dad decided that he was a bad fit for Greg Harbaugh's offense and they wanted to go back to Kirk Ciarrocca

By the halftime mark of the game, I thought a bowl game might be out of the question..

I like Baranowski at LB .... looked like he had a bum shoulder last time he ran off the field I noticed

Chip column on Drake: He looks like the real deal with his poise, accuracy, arm strength and overall presence in operating the offense.

Added more to my post. Any donation I make would not likely go towards a player payment (because I would specifically request it does not .. I'd rather help pay for new facilities that will last longer than any one player)

Chip column on Drake: He looks like the real deal with his poise, accuracy, arm strength and overall presence in operating the offense.

My understanding is that Gopher football will have around 70% of a $20.5M revenue sharing to give to players, and that number will grow annually. That will be the Big Ten TV deal check paying that. So yes, I did my part by tuning in and bumping up the ratings. (Aside: my hope is that that...

Show him the $$$$ You know sure as hell that Arkansas and SEC in general are going to try to get him paid to come back down south.

    Koi Perich ...

PJ post game: Can you talk about Koi Perich's response? I feel like people came down hard on him last week. PJ Fleck: Yeah. I mean, I don't know if the coming down. Look, when you're an elite player, you have to much is given, much is expected. And much is earned, much is expected. He's a...

    Greg Harbaugh: Coaching MVP

From Fleck post-game interview: You guys used motion, bunches, stacks. How key was that to being able to set up access to cleaner releases for your receivers? PJ Fleck: That was huge for us. There are two things. They're playing quarters and they're playing man, and they're keeping everything...

    Drake’s second half long balls

Just to go on a slight tangent: that one ball AK threw to whatever receiver in the endzone ... that would have been I think a game winner (might be remembering wrong when it was), incredible TD throw, over the shoulder literally perfect ..... but just an incredible job of our db to get his hand...

By the halftime mark of the game, I thought a bowl game might be out of the question..

Curious who you consider "someone we shouldn't" and what you mean by "better" bowl game? I think a very realistic target this year: Music City Bowl. We've been passed over one too many times and it's finally our turn to turn up in Nashville! Iowa went there last year with a 8-4 (6-3) record...
