I try to be optimistic that hopefully he can be convinced that we have a QB on the roster or one coming in that can get the ball to him. That could be a huge issue for any incoming WR. There are lots of programs that have a returning quality QB. We aren't one of them.

I would like to see stats on points allowed versus points scored. My guess it would be a negative for Patterson. I think Rigsby plays better D and is a better athlete. Asuma needs to be the starting PG when Mike returns and Patterson's minutes take a nose dive.

With the OL question we don't know if Callahan is confident that the returning guys are ready. Involvement in the OL portal will tell us. My guess is they bring it least one OL. It will also tell us about the QB, WR, CB, TE and kicker spots. I think we all assume that Taylor will return at RB...

Plus Asuma's defense is much better as he is a better athlete. He has the tools to be a very good PG and the less Ben uses him in that role only slows down his progression. IMO, Patterson should see his minutes shrink then Rigsby upon the return of Mike and whenever Cochran becomes serviceable.
