***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

This is the worst clock management in history. Even if we get the first down, what do we do?

***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

If we run out of time and have to kick when we started the drive with almost two minutes and 3 timeouts, thats unforgivable.

***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That offensive possession was almost good enough to let us punt the ball to their half of the field!

***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA HOMECOMING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Serious question: does indiana have so many structural advantages over us that they are an unreasonable barometer of success?

    Week 7 Other Games Thread

Felt like the right balance of recognizing the obvious (you need to do something creative because you are too outmanned to call a conventional play that requires you to win a battle straight up on the goal line) but also not desperate and gimmicky (like trying to have the right guard throw a...

Absolutely loved that play design by Bielema on fourth and goal.

    Week 7 Other Games Thread

Before every lines up to talk about the refs being on OSU's side, its worth noting on that third down completion that came back, it sure looked like the Illinois defender was grabbing the OSU receiver's arm before the ball arrived and it went uncalled.

Playing like you dont give a damn can be a powerful thing, especially if you are an underdog.

Mason says it's "mind boggling" why Eslinger, Spaeth and TC don't have their jerseys retired at The U

Im surprised coach Prime isn't lobbying to have the entire NCAA retire his son's number, like the NHL did with 99 for Gretzky.

Fleck after watching OSU film: "There's so much good in that film. It gets covered up by the score, but there's a lot of good to pull from that game."

I went to the team stats for the game to check under the score. Apparently, I also have to check under total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, yards per play, first downs, and third down efficiency.

Five takeaways from Gophers coach P.J. Fleck’s news conference: Back to fundamentals

I dont know what part you're struggling with. Hopefully we can do a better job trying to p Purdue's sub zone in the back end than we did with OSU.

Week 7 AP Poll - Texas and Penn State OUT

Its tough doing rankings this early in the season with teams who are undefeated against a soft schedule. Maybe indiana will lose and fall. But no one would bat an eye if Georgia, Alabama, or OSU were ranked 7 at this point with Indianas schedule to date. If nothing else, I think indiana should...

Fleck: “I’m proud of our players fight. We didn’t turn the ball over which is really positive for us…We have a really good football team though.”

Should have been 42-3 if not worse? 42-3 was worse than Ohio, Washington, and Texas (who may be nowhere near as good as advertised) played them. Only grambling state had a worse showing than us. Being upset that we lost is unreasonable. Being upset that we looked as bad as we did is fair.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT #1 OHIO STATE LET'S SHOCK THE WORLD IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Killing a drive that is moving well against a team we have the talent to match up straight up with is fundamentally different than pulling out the stops against a team that is light years ahead of you when you need to do something to try something unconventional to tilt the field in your favor...

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in loss at OSU?

I went D. The plan we had for the first drive (and capitalizing on OSU's late subsstition by subbing and forcingthr timeout) is what kept it from being an F. Some of the things that stuck out: -Not having our kick returner return any kicks he good (busting a huge one on a kickoff return is one...

Post Game Thread: Buckeyes Comeback on Gophers Keeps Undefeated Season Alive

I expected to lose, but obviously was hoping for a miracle. Was frustrating to me how much trouble we had with the snap. Against OSU, sometimes they are going to get a big play because their receiver is faster than anyone on our roster, their quarterback put the ball in a perfect spot, and there...

    My favorite play today

I was terrified every second of that return with how he was holding the ball that it was going to get knocked out.

YES YES YES!!! Post Game Thread: Gophers Get Big Win Over Rutgers!

Really liked that we adjusted well. Loved Drakes play. Loved the big plays by the defense. Was close to panic mode after how rough the first quarter went, so id like to see some better starts. Was a little disheartening how often Rutgers was able to move the ball. We kept points off the board...

Who is your Gophers MVP in win over Rutgers?

Some of the other guys made big plays that may have been outcome determinative in a game that ended this close, but I have no hesitation saying Drake's play was the biggest factor. Honorable mention to the Rutgers center for launching that snap past AK.
